'End of an incredible era' as Crocodile Dundee star dies

An iconic star in the 1986 blockbuster Crocodile Dundee has died.

Pays to read the story, not just the by line. Reports of Paul Hogan's demise have been greatly exaggerated. The crocodile died, the Australian actor is very much alive

But soft what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east and Juliet is the sun.

Can’t have been the only one to watch Zeffirellis Romeo and Juliet at high school. RIP Olivia Hussey.

A belated acknowledgement of the passing of Rickey Henderson - the greatest leadoff hitter and baserunner of all time.

He still holds the MLB records for career stolen bases, runs, unintentional walks, and leadoff home runs. I remember him most as an As player but was happy when he joined my Blue Jays in 1993.

Bugger. Take Carter over any of the recent tenants of the White House. Despite always featuring strongly in polls of the worst president ever.

Came in at a time when any president would have struggled but gave of his best. Like Dubya, his greatest achievements were behind the scenes where he improved the lives of millions in some of the poorest parts of the world

Deregulated the beer industry, which helped make craft beer commercially feasible in the US.
