@Bones said in Recipes, home grown goodness, BBQing and food stuff:

    @MN5 works for me.

should point out two things first: that Gorske already holds the record for having eaten the most Big Macs; he crossed that threshold according to the Guinness people back in October.

And second, he has both "obsessive compulsive disorder and a meticulous memory," according to the FDL Reporter, a local newspaper that marked his milestone.

He also calls them sandwiches instead of burgers. For some reason that really winds me up.

Go down to sandwichfuel and grab dinner to cheer yourself up.

Don proposed to his wife in the car park of maccas.

He last had a whopper from BK in 1984.

I suspect he’s never left America, or indeed his home state

He freezes Big Macs in case of emergencies so he can have one every day

@Tim I could eat the filthy servo ones all day. First thing I do whenever I'm back, topper and a s&c.

    And a V.

Guys I've known that worked in the factory making them strongly warned against eating them, but I couldn't care less.

Having fun with my new Bronco smoker, did my best ever turkey a couple of weeks ago. And these beautiful wagyu beef short ribs on Christmas Eve

@canefan Looks great. I'm going to braise some NZ beef shin tomorrow, and serve it to some friends over roasted vegetables.

My 11yr old lad loves to cook so I tasked him with the @Bones special last night

    Not a bad effort, delicious

@voodoo that's a great effort, no fault in that. Get a bread bag and a bamboo bread box and it'll last longer if you don't devour it fast enough.

Or do two loaves at a time, slice it and freeze it.

Makes for a great pulled pork or chicken sandwich, or toast it with homemade baked beans and a pork chop / gammon steak.

Got out on the yak this morning. First proper chilly day, windier than expected, but the that unit decided to get in on the action.

Beat the hell out of working!
