Secret Level
Animated series on Prime video (think Love, Death + Robots) with some pretty kick arse stuff for the nerds, which I am.
Anthology style and really top quality animation. Just binged the lot
I am entertained
@NTA You might have only watched half - it is a 16 episode series, with the second half dropping tomorrow
-
@Stockcar86 you're right.
Awesome
-
I'm on E4
Really enjoying it

Just watched the last episode of Yellowstone. Outstanding series if you haven't seen it. I binged all 5 seasons in three weeks.
-
Just started watching this and it’s really quite watchable. I’d like it to make up its mind though if it wants to play it for laughs or is a thriller as it seems to fall between the two.
Edit: Christ I’ve just re-read this. I wasn’t even drunk when posting.. my excuse is that I’m recovering from a serious bout of man flu. But hey @MiketheSnow understood 😀

So. Finished Black Doves and found it easily watchable but a little unsatisfying. Now watching The Pembrokeshire Murders, a dramatisation of a true crime investigation in South Wales looking at some interlinked cold cases. Luke Evans is the main guy and is, as you would expect, very good. I found it helps to do a little reading up on the story beforehand to give you a flavour, this doesn't (so far) give any spoilers as you pretty much know the outcome in advance but the story itself is quite absorbing. 2 Eps in so far and really enjoying it.

Good show

Good show
It reminded me a bit of Hinterland in its pacing, bleakness and the quality of both the writing and the acting.

The Diplomat
S2 was enjoyable too, with enough drama and intrigue to keep me interested. I'm not sure I liked the ending though.Loved it
Definitely onboard for Season 3

Episode three and finding it increasingly tedious. Like the BBC tried making a Guy Ritchie version of Slow Horses.

@bayimports I just tried to start S1E1 this weekend but thought it was pretty shit. Girl with no training kicks ass, gets thrown into a huge situation straight off the bat and knows exactly what to do. Does it get remarkably better?
From memory I think they did explain her experience fighting in later eps, but youre loosely following on. Basically how she becomes part of a CIA hit squad. (if you can get passed the believability piece then its ok)
I also like "the day of the Jackal", but if anyone thinks it is remotely possible for Lashana Lynch to chase and get close to Eddie Redmayne in a race through a forest with her ass the size of a small tank, then believability is also not a criteria high on the list for a lot of action programs these days.
Still a good watch though
Spoilers bro
Mind you her chasing him was always going to be on the agenda.
I’m only two episodes in, both characters well written and thought out and I loved his first mission, just ruthlessly efficient.
A couple of extremely decent women to look at helps too.

Further to the bullshitometer going to critical……( six episodes in )
Biancas multiple fuck ups led to quite a few casualties. There is no way she’d still be on the caseThe Jackal survived two random encounters ( French driver nose to tail and Hungarian barn incident ). Both kinda pointless and exisiting only to get a bit of action in and extend it to ten episodes.
I refuse to believe the Jackal wouldn’t have been caught way before now. He’s highly skilled, ruthless and all of that but the risks he takes are ridiculous.
The show is getting a bit silly but still a great watch
Jackals wife and the half Japanese liaison chick are nice to look at. Bianca much less so.
But anyway, Eddie what’s his name, barge arse and Charles Dance are excellent.
The latter should have been a Star Wars or Bond villain ( I mean a main one, he had a tiny part in For Your Eyes only back in the day ). Not much range but shit he’s good at playing that pompous, arrogant, powerful English arsehole so well.

Maybe a few years late but:
Narcos.
Watched with Mrs Boo over the last week/10days.
Well Series 1 &2.
Really just dragged on about 5 or 6 eps too long.
They tried to make Pablo kinda sympathetic, thus dragged it out a Series too long.
I mean seriously, fuck him and fuck his wife and mother. They knew he was a murderous fluffybunny, let alone he sold massive amounts of poison to innocent people. And bombed peeps. And murdered others.
Story took too long to kill him.
Great start, dragged for no purpose.
Not sure I'll watch Series 3 (about the Cali Cartel), or S4 (Mexico).
In the end just dragged on.
3 sicarios out of 5 fuck that took too long ...
