Rain dance! Rain dance! Rain dance!

    That’s enough from you.

Your team lost the first test to a team that lost 3-0 at home to a team that is about to get hammered 2-0 at home.

So basically your team sux way more than ours.

England > New Zealand > India > Australia

Are you the same guy ready to cut loose the guy who just scored a ton? 🤔

@MN5 said in Black Caps vs England Series:

Conway, Blundell and Southee must have some sort of bet on to see who can remain the biggest passenger in the side.

    Yep. Confirmed.

Probably learn a bit about cricket before you go making up theories. 😜

    2 out of 3 ain’t bad

I think Nathan Astle gave Tom Blundell a call during the drinks break for some advice

EDIT : Oh……this comment aged rather poorly

They’re leaving the run a bit late but a double hundred from Southee and a dogged 50 from O’Rourke should see us home

How's the conservative selections going for you Gary? Can't expect to win test matches if you're top order is failing. Surely there must be some changes ahead of the next test. With the series lost they have nothing to lose by giving other guys a crack.

Heaviest home defeat by runs - but, clearly not as bad as when Courtney Walsh dynamited us.

But Timmy and Conway will have to play in Hamilton because reasons. No doubt Daryl Mitchell will have some words from a PR playbook to explain it all.

I think they'll bring in Young for Conway, but I wouldn't bet big money on it.

    I bet Timmy plays.

It’s still early in his career but I have to say I’m not quite on the RR bandwagon yet.

He looks a million bucks but is far too susceptible to some careless shit.

Out caught four out of four times this series. Today was a perfect opportunity to make a big hundred at home but he squandered it really needlessly

( even though the result was a forgone conclusion )

England owns NZ in tests matches in recent years. The 1 run win was the exception.

What excuse will Stead and Latham come up with this time?

I honestly thought we’d be 1-1 at this stage.

On paper there’s surely not THAT much between the teams ?

TBF if I'd just beaten India in India I'd take the summer off, too...

That stuff is definitely funnier when you don’t get smashed at home by over 300 runs.

Decision taken out of Stead's hands as Corway withdraws from the squad for the birth of his first child. So I guess Young slots straight in as an opener? Chapman the squad replacement, but short an injury will just be running drinks.

Oh no, that decision leaves them short of experience…..which will ensure Southee gets picked

this feels awfully Razor like, injury helps put the correct selection in

I hope he keeps a firmer two handed grip on his newborn than he does on his bat handle.

But, in seriousness. Congratulations to him.

He's come a long way when you consider about 7 years ago he was Vic Uni Cricket Club professional. Now he is an IPL millionaire.

I think he has now probably played his last test (assuming Stead doesn't pick the Zim tour squad before he trots off). I'm not against picking him again in the future if he returns to some amazing form in his free-lancing life. But I'm against 'playing him back into form' at test level. Other players are deserving of their own opportunity.

Tbh, I was assuming he would probably officially/or unofficially retire from test cricket anyway at the end of the summer. Just assuming players would prioritise the financial catching up/cashing in - to make up for his late start to cricketing riches.
