Tyson may be 58 years old but this was definitely a fix.
A nice business transaction to get a cheeky 20 mill.
Of course it was fixed. Whole thing was scripted.
The womens match before it was an actual boxing match and infinitely better.

The disappointing and annoying part for me , with so many great genuine fights and cards that have been on this year .
This circus event( that’s all it is ) gets so much attention

I don't know how accurate this is, but I did hear that the contract was formulated in such a manner that it was a sliding scale for Mike. If he knocked Paul down in the first he got nothing all the way up to the full amount in the eighth.
If true it seemed unnecessary given how little of the movement was in those old legs.

that would be a damn shame if true: he didn't fight him, he nannied him!

That sounds accurate.
Mind you Tyson is a loose unit, you wouldn’t put it past him to break character and KO him in the first……
…..which despite his age I’d still have backed him to do if he really wanted to

Could this be Mike Tyson's next opponent in his training camp? The winner becoming Undisputed Over 55 Super Heavyweight Champion of the World!
Does Tua even know how to pull punches? If not, this could be entertaining!

Joe Parker v Dubois and bivol v bieterbiev 2 on the same card feb 22 .

Brilliant
-
Going to be interesting,
I lean towards usyk , given usyk s workrate and motor I find it difficult to imagine a fury points decision in this one .
So if his chances of winning needs to be a stoppage that narrows the odds for me . But anything can happen.
-
@MiketheSnow that is outstanding.
Looks like my Xmas shopping ( vague ) plans for that day have gone out the window, another fight just before Xmas, Brilliant !
Probably late Sunday morning our time ?

Fury looks as fit as a flea

Fight week here , and I feel more optimistic about fury now it’s here , just like what I’m seeing and hearing from him .A 3 month lockdown camp with no contact with anyone including his wife and kids is some commitment .
In other news david nyika fighting jai opetaia jan 8th , for the cruiserweight title, suspect this is too soon for David and Jai will be too much for him

This fight has rolled around by surprise ( for me ). Haven’t really been following it at all.
But work will be finished and ( hopefully ) Xmas chores all done so cannot wait for it all to kick off.
Any idea when it is on NZ time approximately ?
Oh, and I’m picking Usyk by decision.

Oh, and I’m picking Usyk by decision.
Usyk on points is the safe bet but if we go back through history it’s amazing how often the rematch doesn’t resemble the first fight at all , I’ve got a feeling both fighters might throw caution to the wind a bit more and while that doesn’t necessarily mean a different result , a stoppage might be on the cards .
Haven’t seen the exact times yet but the Riyadh stuff is usually early , I’d be expecting roughly a 5am start and a 9 to 10 am main fight time in aus , so add a couple of hours to nz . Give or take an hour or two either way .

Usyk has Fury’s number.
Not to mention Fury and Wilder ( especially ) just aren’t the fighters they were after smashing each other over three brutal bouts.
I haven’t felt this confident on the fern since I successfully predicted Tua would knock out Cameron in the second round

Nyika has stepped up to take this fight. As he says, it was too good an opportunity to turn down despite the risk.
