Scotland, flopping, laying and rolling on the wrong side of the ruck since 1879.

Played well in the second half and deserved to win in the end but Jesus I can’t understand how the ref just ignored how often they were off feet on the wrong side and not moving, let alone walking around the side of rucks.

I'm sure you'll be keeping an eye on Jamie George in the England game then 😉

    Never in doubt.

Scotland emphatically showing Australia where they really sit in the pecking order.

Great game of rugby. Australia looked like they had been reading their own press at the start. Full of piss and vinegar.. Scotland the much better team. How in the hell did the wobbs beat England?

    Barely, that's how.

And this is the lesson: everyone was very emotional after the tight win at Twickenham over a middling England, and the expected thrashing at the mill against a poor Wakes.

However, I said we would need to go to several gears to beat Scotland, and so it proved.

Townsend put out a very experienced and settled team, while we gave away 14 penalties and missed 34 tackles.

Those are the bad habits lurking just underneath the surface of every Wallaby performance, and hopefully this squad have learned from it.

Haven't seen the game btw. This is a good Scottish team that make the most of the systems available to them, and they're generally enjoyable to watch, so I'll watch it in full between meetings today 😁

Positive note: only losing by 2 tries in a reportedly poor performance isn't all bad. 🤔

This probably is a bit of a generational Scottish team ( is that an oxymoron ? ) relatively speaking.

They’ve always had excellent loosies but they have lots of talent and creativity in the backs now too as opposed to some leaden footed plodders they’ve had in the past.

Duhan Van De Merwe is a big winger ( not unusual for Scotland who have fielded Lamont, Danielli, Walker, Visser etc ) but he can damn well move too.

Russell is mercurial, Tuipulotu seems a strong leader, Jones is class and Graham is electric.

I’d love to see them have a crack at the ABs and do what Ireland and Argentina have done.

McDermott bombing that try was criminal.

A shocker. A try there would have made the game interesting.

Ritchie should have been the MOTM. He led the defensive effort.

Ok ok, roll in that I told you so gold dust!
I guess this will settle down in about a year or so.
Happy Wallabies have been improving but also happy they aren't going to get a grand slam, didn't think they quite deserved that.

That first try, can the man be that close to the line out? We had one rubbed out last year because Dmac was inside the 10, he was maybe 5 metres back.

That try to put the Scots to 22 was a fucking joke, the midfield was flooded with guys and the ballcarrier was miles behind. That should be obstruction. The shit defense following the break was terrible but Oz should have been kicking for goal at the other end.

"Scotland end Wallabies' Grand Slam hopes despite Harry Potter's magical try" (from Stuff).
Seems he'll be an easy headline every time he plays. Way to hype a career by being born with a name!

A bit harsh, he was born same time, and maybe his parents weren't book nerds?

Bad news for Australia, they lost this game.

Good news for Australia, the Wallabies now have their very own wizard.
