Clerks III
I've watched all the Clerks movies over the last week or so - while stoned, to get "that" view of them
Original - amusing
2 - I'm vaguely remembering as being problematic
3 - not great. Lots of self-referencing self-back-clapping nonsense.- and realised - I've never seen this before. Maybe watching Kevin Smith's schtick for the first time while stoned... doesn't quite work? Anyway...
Tit-watch: minimal. Rosario Dawson's return in III - kept my otherwise dwindling interest piqued.
Don’t you dare knock the original Clerks. Absolute classic in the “can only watch baked” category
Up there with Mystery Science Theatre 3000

You need to also watch 2024's The 4:30 Movie - a spiritual prequel by Kevin Smith set in the 1980's

Watched half of Bullet Train.
Great fun over the top bullshit, Brad at his best ( does he ever put a foot wrong ? ) and loads of other quirky psychos.
I do like that genre of movie, but unfortunately had to postpone the rest of it as I was busy catching flies on the couch after a big day.
Great recommendation from my sons.
I’m sure if will get a good review when I finish watching tonight !

You might need to watch it from the beginning again. It’s so batshit crazy that you’ll likely forget what the hell is going on.
Yeah might do, we didn’t start it til 10pm and as it is over two hours long I knew I’d be battling.
Again, Kudos to the Bradster for continuing to stay interesting and fun unlike others ( cough cough Neeson, Travolta, Butler etc ) who just phone it in for a paycheck.

Butler doesn't deserve to be there, he's acting his socks off not phoning it in. That's just his level. He's still mostly fun though unlike the plank Clive Owen. (Have to get my dig of Owen into a post about crap acting).
I enjoyed Bullet Train, over the top crazy, had one of those weird streamer releases instead of being released in theatres IIRC.

Butler doesn't deserve to be there, he's acting his socks off not phoning it in. That's just his level. He's still mostly fun though unlike the plank Clive Owen. (Have to get my dig of Owen into a post about crap acting).

He plays the exact same character in every movie I’ve seen him in in the last 15 or so years.

Yeah, but that's his range. Travolta and Neeson have touched greatness.

Surely that’s a writer’s problem
They can all act and have some recent gems between them

Owen was excellent in Monsieur Spade
