"Bulger said Reece should be discharged without conviction as it could affect his career, including travel overseas."
fuck i hate that idea....people shouldn't be punished for their actions...because it might result in them being punished...he's not a kid...and not the first time hes had trouble with the law...for fucks sake that pisses me off
at least someone in the press will put Razor on the spot in a press conference and ask him about it...oh wait

do people really look at thrashing italy with a full strength team as finishing the season strong? do people actually think winning by 50 achieves something that winning by 20 but with some fresh blood woudlnt?....honestly might not even watch

i think he truly will go down as one of the greats, his commitment and attitude have been a huge part of NZ rugby over the last 10-12 years

@kev said in Bledisloe 1:
Is that the worst half of rugby we have ever played?
this is what my post is about
I'm starting to think that TV/commentators...and even the fern...is part of whats killing my enjoyment of rugby.
At the game, we had an even mix of kiwis and aussies around us...everyone was chatting and talking at half time about how enjoyable the game was (barring the obvious like QT)..reading through the thread and moments like sotutu's kick...everyone was cheering around us about trying to play awesome....and then i get on here and see 10-15 posts about it essentially being the worst play in the history of rugby. Im sure with replays and the commentators it more clear to analyse but at the time it was a few seconds of up out of our chairs....hmmm
re the end....the crowd were all yelling for him to hurry up...was really blatant in real time
I saw a tweet that summed it up nicely for me....if this is the first shot in a war against time wasting...then great, all for it...if this is a random one off implementation of the rules...then its harsh...correct but harsh
some people that i thought played well in real time have been lambasted so once again a fascinating example of how different the game is without replays and commentary

WE'RE IN THE BIG SHOW BABY!!!

This is the same legacy that foster has been systematically dismantling since his appointment? There are many reasons none of us trust fosters ABs see the fosters first thread
That just shows you have no idea of the All Blacks legacy. It as @DaGrubster built on 120 years, and I would suggest it built on teams AND supporters.....
you both seem to be missing the point that some of us are making...yes...we all agree its taken 120 years to make a legacy....thats exactly why some of us feel Foz had done so much to damage to that legacy in only 4 years....you talk about supporters too, ive met far more AB fans that say they havent enjoyed watching the AB's play ( not just the results, how they are playing) over the last 4 years...far more likely to catch a replay than make an effort to watch live etc...than in the 40 years before that
just because something took so long to build doesnt mean its impervious....just makes it more of a shame when it starts to crumble

lets not forget that the crusaders and highlanders have won half of all super rugby titles (13/26) between them

We were robbed
Better team lost
We didn't take our chances, but SA burgled another one. They can't beat us at full strength. Like Australia and the lions, need a red card to get over the lineFuck you haters. Black is the new black.
i find your ideas intriguing and would like to subscribe to your newsletter

a quick thought, and ive been heading towards this for a while, im thinking that some of us that are starting to question if we are falling out of love with rugby.....its because (or at least partially) because we watch so much of it on TV, with endless replays trying to find the tiniest mistake or infringement, with commentators telling us everything we might have missed and how we should feel the actions of players....i think we need to get down the sideline more than in front of a screen, have some beers, chat with randoms and just enjoy

lovely day in the sun, biggest gripe was how poor RA handled promoting it, sitting next to some brumbies fans, they had come down for it and were shocked at how small the crowd was, pointed out there had been next to no advertising
Wore my old Dunedin RFC jersey and Fakatava and Vahaakolo came over for a photo, both seem like really good blokes, Freedom was just chatting away about how disappointing the results was, letting the fans down, but how thankful he was to be getting a shot at that level, even more of a fan

one letter....you managed to save the time it took to type one letter....

The saffas argument they couldn’t get match fit looking a little silly...this the first game this year for most of these argies

This argument that if we have a hard hitting 6 then we can afford to carry someone who is passive in the loose forwards is ridiculous.
not sure thats what people are saying?
We have seen the discussions here many times before where there is making tackles and dominant tackles, both have thier place, your 7 if he is playing for t/os isnt gonna go hunting for the big hits
So you end up with a flanker like Cockwomble. If your support and cleanout is on the job, his entire game is nullified and you're making yards.
There are far too many people who watch SR and think that translates to Tests.
thats offensive to my people

Fuck my pet hate aimless box kicking,Waste of possession.
2021 I saw more of this than ever before.
Just stop it.
A tactic that is used when you have no clue how to breakdown a defence.
And your ideas on creative defensive organisation are impotent. You're bloody clueless... reckon you'd have trouble analysing the back of your own hand.
You must see a lot of the back of your hand at least every time you jump on here and talk shit.
Stuffs your argument then I was agreeing with you on the use of the box kick FFS.
You don't have any ideas you tool about how to counter the flat defences.
Respect…some pussies would have backed off once they realised @Chris was actually agreeing with them, not you though, double down!
-
@Dan54 i very much disagree, here are the 2 frames before, pretty clear to me he's not coming through the middle and i would say he was offside in general, should be back on the line

5. Smith - position is safe but is his personality right for it? No more toilet incidents and he might have a shot.no more?....wasn't it one incident 6 years ago?
since then he's been a in the AB's senior leadership group and captain of his super team, also meets my personal criteria of one of the first names on the team sheet so has to have a decent claim doesn't he?
