PJ was a neighbour for a number of years. Top fella. Always would give a hearty "Greetings!" from across the street
Have watched all 4 races too and finally for the first part of race 4 we got a proper race but the margins are so fine in these races that it doesn't take much to get some distance between the boats and once that happens, the risk of error or a penalty being incurred drops dramatically and its pretty much all over for the trailing boat. This then doesn't make it great as a spectacle unfortunately.
The margin in time difference might be low but it looks like a long way on the water. Its a bit like two F1 cars racing on an oval track. A 10second difference between the two would look a bit silly. We've got something pretty similar to that in the LV and AC. IMHO something needs to change in this regard to make it a bit more appealing.
l. What a final round for Kobori. He isn't a big hitter off the tee but his ironplay/short game and putting definitely makes up for what he lacks in distance.
I'm a massive fan of this kid. Yeah not a big hitter. He's only 5ft8. Some of his approach shots of just top class and when he's running hot with that putter, its almost unbelievable.
Great final round by Kazuma Kobori over night in the Dunhill with a final round 65 to end up finishing 12th (-16) in a high quality field. Hillier a couple of shots back at -14 and Sam Jones -12.
Fox was going well too on PGA and started his final around pretty hot but just dropped a shot. Currently T8th at-18, 5 shots off the lead

Saw interview with Fox on CGW last night. Has a hip issue which he has to manage - I expect the doc told him to lose some weight to reduce the strain.
Yeah and hes highlighted the need to potentially get some actual work done on it. The weight loss would help. Will be challenge as hes said a few times that his biggest vice is the buffet table.
Finished -2 in 60th at the BMW. Not a great result for the defending champ but at least made the cut. I watched a fair bit of it and he was even more wayward than usual off the tee. Hit some awesome approach shots though, absolute darts. New putter was OK
Great fight. Smith faster and with more reach, he got the first two rounds. Tau had a great 3rd round

Tau is a bit of a beast eh! Just kept going forward and I was so impressed he didnt tap in the 2nd as he looked to be in a pretty shit place there but got out of it really well. Massive last round but just not enough.
