Blundell's batting has been poor and his keeping untidy. Hay averages 47 in first class cricket - I'd be very tempted to make the swap.

I'd give Will Young a game ahead of Devon and probably bring in Santner for Southee.

I doubt any of these things will happen for the next test.

The wheels absolutely fell off in the 1st test. With England 71/4 in their first innings we were in a commanding position and Brook should've been caught shortly after. The rest was a complete shambles about which most of the team should be embarassed and donating their match fees to charity!

Yeah I would do the same and make those 3 changes.

Louie Chapman,,Harry Inch,Liam Jack,Johnny Lee,Gus Brown,Issac Hutchinson are a few training with the squad pre season some of them are on development contracts.

Doesn’t mean we are wrong mate just maybe we have some more insight than some.
Let’s see if selecting Blundell works for the next 2 tests and if he keeps failing how long they can defend him for.
Averaging 13 in the last year is pathetic for a player batting at 6.
Especially as his other role is not very convincing either.

Do they ? Repetition creates results it is the only way to create good habits and enhances concentration, I don’t think they practice enough, if you drop 8 catches a lot of those regulation sitters in an innings.

Drop Blundell, make Conway keep wicket and bat in the middle order to try and rebuild his confidence. Young slots in to open. Latham is captain so he's just gonna have to do better. Simples

Nah Conway adds no more than Blundel with the gloves new WK ,Conway doesn’t need to worry about WK as well.
Conway goes away and sorts out those horrible technique problems he has even batting in the middle order they will produce the same results.

Time to move on from Conway and Blundel both are walking wkts atm.

Some rash shots played out there we threw too many of our wkts away,
As I mentioned before the test Bashir may cause problems because of the pace he bowls at and the bounce due to his height.
A few players did get done by the bounce he produces they got caught because of it,

It all comes down to having an existing connection with Canterbury or Crusaders culture as a former player or coach. Why do they rarely look outside of their own backyard?

Ronan O'Gara was sought out by Razor himself and that decision was a raging success.....the players mentioned how good it was to be exposed to a different (NH) perspective, set mindset from having O'Gara in camp.

What are they scared of? It's delivered titles before (Colin Cooper 2002, Vern Cotter 2005 & 2006, Goodman,, O'Gara, etc...)

Rob Penny and Colin Mansbridge are the answers.

And the reason they brought him back because Penny is an idiot and so is Colin who didn't like Mooar because Razor didn't but loves him now because Penny does, which sums up Colin perfectly.
