Story goes that he insisted he would play for Norths, even though he was told he would play for some other club!

Yeah that's interesting, JGB had a pretty good npc, but I've always thought West had some x-factor, and of course has also had some good npc seasons.

Yeah I only caught the last of the Counties game, thankfully, needless to say i was much happier at the end of the next (Wellington v Canty) game!

HB the winners 43-30 in a see-sawing game. I thought the Maori were going to run away with it at one stage, then Higgins turned up and the HB lads perked up and fought back to a convincing win.

Yeah it was a close first half, with the Tuis going down-wind, but Wgtn didn't really do much kicking in the 2nd half anyway, just kept it in hand and ended up running through them. I thought the Tuis did pretty well considering they wouldn't have played much together.

Yep I'll be there sideline Wed night, hopefully the Bay do well, but don't win

Wellington won 42-10.

@Number-10 Yeah was a bit one-sided, though not as much as the score would suggest I think. Wgtn had the bigger boys for sure, but I thought the HB lads had a good game, though when watching through the camera I do miss a lot.
