I'm looking into changing the hosts again due to the performance and outages we have been experiencing. While I'm looking into that, I'm also going to look at new software as Invision is getting a bit dated and it's been a while since we had a fresh coat of paint. (Shakes fist at work schedule)
 
Had a question, how many of you are using Tapatalk? A few of the replacements I'm looking at that don't support Tapatalk, but instead offer responsive themes that work well on a mobile device (I want the Fern to be fast).
 
Also, any digital artists out there want to have a crack at a new banner?

I use Tapatalk on my phone but don't find it that great, so it wouldn't bother me if I just used a browser or something else.

I use tapatalk only for the fern so I wouldn't care if I had to go on the fern another way on my mobile (Not a great fan of tapatalk)
 
I was just looking at our banner the other day and was thinking that it didn't look dated. I still quite like it. (Again, won't mind if it changes)
 
Now, if this change can take place between the hours of 2am and 5am, that would be greatly appraciated! ha ha!! Either that or when I am on annual leave like alst Friday..... :)
 
It must be time to do a fern whip around too, no?

Nah, the ads cover the costs, so that's all good. Appreciate the thought however.

i just use the mobile version on my phone and it works a treat

Fern's the only reason I use Tapatalk. Other couple of forums I follow were on it but went off and did their own thing.

I've stopped using tapatalk, as they switched to a feed of all subscribed forums, and I can't work out how to just view the Fern. I generally prefer good responsive/mobile themes now.
 
One thing I find annoying is when a mobile/responsive theme does not offer formatting controls (e.g. quote, italics, links etc).

I tried out tapatalk at the start, and didn't really like it.

I prefer responsive design and only use tapatalk on my tablet because I can't recall my login.

FUCK Tapatalk. After the most recent update, it sends me notifications every fucking time an internet hamster farts in TSF's general direction.

Apart from the formatting controls (see Tim's post), I'd appreciate it if we can post tweets, Youtube videos and photos (preferably re-sizable, but that's not essential). At the moment, we can't post tweets and instagram photos.

As to the questions asked, I don't use Tapatalk, the mobile version is fine on my phone for the few times I use it.
 
I'm with Hooroo, the banner looks good, why change it for change's sake?
 
Hopefully the new one looks kind of the same - one of the other forums (not rugby) I go to upgraded and I just find it completely weird now and hardly ever post there.

I donâ€™t use Tapatalk and found the same experience as stargazer when a football forum I read changed. It isn't as good as the previous version.

Ok, was worried I might have a tapatalk revolt on my hands. The mobile responsive view of the one I'm trialing looks great
