Black Caps Tour to Zimbabwe
-

All hail King Kane.

-

According to Cricinfo, he is just the 13th player to score a Test hundred against all nine other Test playing nations.

Martin Crowe never scored one against South Africa.
-
This coverage is gold.

Can hear all the background noise - the ball thudding into the bat, the 6 people in the crowd, the ground announcer, the Zimbos trying to be positive in the field, but no dreary commentary.

Thumbs up.

And well done Kane, I hope to see you still batting when the bloody voice is finished. -

Snap, Siam !

-

Time to make it rain boys, put these guys to the sword even more than the first test.

Easy to get a bit blasé about the amount of decent Rugby players we produce but the two guys batting at the moment are top fucken notch. Appreciate them while you can.
-

He has a ton against all other 9 test playing nations. Quickest player (in terms of innings) to reach that milestone. But man he joins an elite group of players. I'm surprised there aren't more.

Cricinfo tells me if he gets a ton in SA next month then he has scored test tons in every test nation.

That would be an even smaller list of players.
-

First 25 tests he averaged 31 with 3 hundreds.

Second 25 tests he averages 73 with 11 hundreds.

But not good enough to make an arbitrary test XI picked by Atherton et al that I saw on the interwebs .....

Pfffft, who cares what a bloke who batted like a 70 year old man thinks.....

stink. KW gone. But shit how good is he that we start to regard 113 as "Good, but should have done better?"
-
Not quite, as he has never played in Pakistan.
-

Important here for Nicholls to score. Couldn't ask for a better situation to come in to.

Most good teams hardly play Bangladesh and Zimbabwe plus those teams have only been around for 20 years.
-

WTF was that from Nicholls. Horrible shot where the sweep was never on. The guy plays far too loosely to be considered test standard.

Geez AM, I don't think I've ever seen a ferner have an about face like that.

I must say though, something of a micro collapse which is disappointing.
-

It would be nice if he could succeed but tbh, he's all over the place at this level. He has massive holes defensively and his shot selection is very poor as was seen with him driving very loosely early on and then playing a horrendous sweep shot to a ball that was nowhere near full enough to sweep.

Hesson will give him plenty of chances which is fine, but I can't see him succeeding in the test arena at this stage of his career.
