@Tim Beautiful. Wouldn't be suprised if he debuts next year in the Mitre 10 Cup. The kid reminds me of a young Nick Evans.
Oh, and good to see another St Peters boy coming through the ranks
So long as it's not another St Peters midfielder
If Simon Hickey can get game time first year out of school, then I can't see why Plummer can't either.
-
@Dice McCahill, Leaupepe, Francis Saili, Vince Aso, Roimata Hansell Pune yeah it's a bit of a hit and miss bunch haha. Ben Lam played a lot of midfield at school as well.
Yeah well with Hickey gone we don't have a lot at 10. I think we just put him or Wiseguy Faiane in and hope for the best as long as it isn't Tyrone Elkington-MacDonald.

Good bloke, who's very well liked by pretty much everyone at London Irish. Was a forwards coach at the club before stepping into the Head Coach role for six months when Brian Smith went back to Oz during the 14/15 season. Steadied the ship and oversaw a decent enough finish to the season. Stepped aside to a back room role when Coventry pitched up, so can't really take too much of the blame for the horror show last season when they were relegated.
Will probably take a while getting used to not going into games as the underdog.

Really feel for Dave Hewitt, who is a great guy and wants to stay in Canterbury.
Seems he has been tarred by the Blackadder brush.

Wairarapa Bush coach Josh Syms leaves WaiBush for a development role with Hutt Old Boys Marist and Wellington Rugby.
-
Hopefully the appointment of the new Wellington Head Coach won't be another family affair.
-
Wairarapa-Bush has a new head coach: former Wai-Bush and NZ Heartland captain Joe Harwood has been appointed for the 2017 and 2018 seasons. He was one of the team's assistant-coaches for the last two seasons.
Interesting:
Additionally the board has announced a number of strategic initiatives which they hope will continue the development of rugby in Wairarapa. Among them is by 2019 fielding a Heartland team made up of local players and âplayers of originâ only. âWe need a couple of seasons to get there but the timing is right.â Hargood says, given the reliance on âimport playersâ from all Heartland teams â particularly the top echelon â it is a bold step, but one they are ready to commit to.

Taranaki have beaten off the advances of other provincial rugby unions and signed All Blacks apprentice Jordie Barrett and Canterbury halfback Logan Crowley. The home grown pair were unveiled at Taranaki Rugby HQ on Tuesday with a third signing expected to be announced shortly.
I expect that third signing to be Ricky Riccitelli
