About time Wellington had another Shield challenge. Please don't lose to Taranaki.

@Hooroo Fucking Waikato lining up for yet another challenge....
They occasionally win one, but it's so run-of-the-mill hardly anyone turns up to watch.
Luckily, it no longer matters - us having demonstrated our absolute supremacy over NZ provincial rugby. I read somewhere, the other day, that only the Auckland team of 2007 and the Ta$man team of 2019 had ever completed unbeaten NPC seasons. That's slightly surprising - I would have thought one of those late-80s Auckland teams would have. But, if not - we've got a superior points differential to Auckland 2007 - so, Greatest Provincial Team of All Time?!!! Seems like it!
Actually, since it's Canterbury with the Unfairly Shield, it's slightly surprising that we haven't got a challenge - the Shield having passed through the hands of numerous easy-beats, before landing somewhere slightly tough!
Anyway, go Buller! They're one of about three Heartland teams who have waited even longer than Ta$man

It's happened eight times that a team has gone through first division/Mitre 10 Cup with a perfect record. Ta$man in 2019 is the first team to do it since Auckland in 2007.

@Hooroo good chance Ta$man will get a Shield challenge if Wellington can tip Canterbury.
That doesn't sound very likely. Is Wellington likely to be any good?
Oh, that's right. They were those other guys in The Final!
I'd forgotten.....

Ta$man play BOP on 6 September. I don't know which team I want to lose more.
Imagine if people like the Mighty Shannon Frizell don't get picked for the ABs.
They'll have to invoke some sort of mercy rule after 20 minutes!

BoP, always BoP, I can live with an Invitational Baabaas Chequebook team winning if it means that BoP lose.
-
@Nepia Yeah, true, but I also want the Ta$man unbeaten streak to end. Unless Waikato improves significantly, BOP seams the first team in the draw that could be able to do that (provided their North Island Invitational XV is able to keep all the imports on their roster; some of them might move on to golden oldies).

Pfft.... as if Frizell would ever play 20 minutes....

@Stargazer Don't worry about it, just worry about getting out of second division, spend less time thinking of your betters and more time thinking of how to get better.
Alot of minnow teams like Hawkes get ideas waaay above their station, this stunts their chance to grow and develop into a competitive team -

Now you are getting the idea!! I just hope some of your fellow Hawkes supporters take it on board.
Hopefully your fall doesnt last to long and soon your back being competitive and out of the second division. -
@Baron-Silas-Greenback Hahaha. You're so arrogant that it blinds you. Can't wait for your lot to be relegated straight back to the Championship this year.
