Rugby Pass has a free one month trial at the moment. You need an asian ip address (can use a vpn) to login and start streaming. They don't show all the games though.

Otherwise look on reddit rugbyunion for suggestions:

Playing centre or fullback - the new Marty Berry
-

Manawatu (34) v (31) Southland, an absolutely terrible game, with terrible rugby, in terrible weather, with terrible commentary (Laban).

The Turbos were leading 24-0 at half-time; it was 31 all after 80 minutes and only because of a questionable penalty - perfectly kicked by Otere Black, by the way - Manawatu gets the 5 points. Neither team deserved so many points with all those handling errors.
-

Quite enjoyed that game tbh. Low on quality but plenty of endeavor from both sides. Manawatu are making a habit of throwing away big leads.

Some teams are getting their All Blacks for a game. Wish all teams were that lucky.

New Zealand Rugby appear to have dropped the ball over the Heartland Championship competition bonus points scoring system.

A bonus point is awarded to a team for being within seven points at the finish of game, which was a converted try under the old Heartland rules.

In 2016, under the new trial rules, a try is worth six points and conversion two.

A number of Heartland unions are supporting a change to being within eight points but no decision has yet been made.

On Saturday North Otago lost to Mid Canterbury 40-32, so missed out on the bonus point.

North Otago chief executive Colin Jackson said his side should have been awarded a bonus point for being within eight points.

"Common sense says it should be eight points."

While the Old Golds did get one for scoring four tries, they could have had two competition points had the rules been changed, which could be crucial at the business end of the season.

Jackson said New Zealand Rugby were discussing the matter before the season kicked off and he believed it made sense to bring it in retrospectively.

"I did make a call on Monday to see what is happening."

South Canterbury coach Barry Matthews said he had no problems with a change to the rules but did not believe it should be retrospective.

"It may have changed some sides thinking on Saturday. At one stage we had option for a penalty for a bonus point, had it been to close within eight points."

Matthews coached North Otago to the Meads Cup title in 2010 but had no sympathy for his old boss.

"The rules are what they are."

Thames Valley, Wairarapa Bush and Buller all earned a bonus point in their season openers for being with seven points.

North Otago were the only side be be beaten by eight.

South Canterbury Rugby Union chief executive Craig Calder is however at odds with his Heartland coach.

"This clause requires updating allowing for a bonus point be awarded to a team which loses by eight or fewer points, not seven points.

"We support that this amendment should be retrospective commencing from the start of the Heartland season."

The problem NZ Rugby faces is they likely need all 12 Heartland unions to agree as the championship has kicked off.

The union will not want to leave themselves exposed to any sort of challenge when the Meads Cup and Lochore Cup semi-finalists are found.

With the second round to be played on Saturday the longer the decision is delayed the more controversial it could become.

New Zealand Rugby had been contacted but no response had been received.
-
@Unco said in 2016 Mitre 10 Cup - news, injuries etc:
I just noticed the header on the official Mitre 10 website is "Official home of the Investec Super Rugby competition". It's like they're not even trying.
Hmm, where do you see that? I don't see that written anywhere (http://www.mitre10cup.co.nz/).
