Blues v Brumbies
-
The Brumbies whole game revolves around milking the inconsistent reffing of mauls.

I am getting a bit frustrated by how effective it is. Their entire strategy is so one dimensional that you couldn't script it. If you had never seen the Brumbies play before
and I tried to describe them, you would think I am having you on.

Strange strategy yet it works.

28-15 at the break...Brumbies playing a pretty negative style and it is keeping them in touch

-

re-watching the replay of Kaino's YC...not sure he coulda done much else there, he looked to have gotten too upright and then fell and got steam rolled.

-
Mauls: the shittest part of rugby.
Seems thats the only thing the Brumbies do at training. That and having their 6 join the front row to help out during scrums.
Hopefully Francis comes back on, he has been good.
Luatua back in AB form for me. -
Scott and Jeff yelling?

They did, they were about to get penalised for it but got penalised for the shoulder instead.
-

I didn't understand what that penalty at the "maul" was for, did you?
-

yeah not sure why they engaged that, as it was the fact they were late meant the Brumbies had put players in front of the ball off side anyway!

He needs to think of a solution, that is his job. IF he can counter this then that is a feather in his cap.

Blues starting to show they have a pattern to how they want to play

The irony is the ref is an eye doctor.

Got to play to how the ref is calling the game though. The Blues need to attack the ball and have to hit the maul hard. No seagulling Pryor. He really should be a back.

all the Blues loosies are playing wide (look at where Kaino was to score and where Luatua is getting so many metres) watch how they get up form a ruck and head the opposite way to the rest of the forwards, looks a deliberate tactic, esp as they did it in the Baabaas game a couple of weeks ago too
