@williethewaiter I think we'll be up against the Brits, won't we.
Weren't they slower? We were the fastest loser, the British were slow as their 4th had to catch up
It was a semi though. Aussie were in the plate final draw.
I thought it logical that the SF losers face off. Other posters beg to differ, that it is based on fastest time for the entire field
Stuff journos are also saying we'll ride against Oz - but, I think that's because they're sourcing WtW!

Willie's right...
Progression: The winners of heats 3 and 4 in the First Round ride the final for the gold and silver medals. The remaining six teams will be ranked by their times in the First Round and will be paired as follows: The two fastest teams ride the final for the bronze medal. The next two fastest teams ride the final for 5th and 6th places. The last two teams ride the final for 7th and 8th places.

Results page has Italy vs Denmark (final) and NZ vs Aust (3rd/4th) with this caveat.
Due to crash between Denmark (DEN) and Great Britain (GBR), the results of Men's Team Pursuit First Round are pending.
Do they race tonight or tomorrow?

So we snatched silver from the jaws of gold?
Not really - we weren't in the race to finish ahead of GBR or GER...GBR beat GER on the line by 1 - 2 seconds...
Fantastic finish from GB

Great Britain was later given a time of 4:28.489 after Tanfield got up to ride to the finish however that time was too slow to secure a place in the ride-off for bronze.

You fucking Danish retards!!!!
What the hell was the Danish rider looking at? That's mental. The British rider should be made to give way
The new position everyone rides now - pursuit is all about CDA reduction - getting your head down out of the wind makes a massive difference. front guy just watches the line between the aero bars.
obviously has some downfalls when you're not expectiving anyone in front of you..
Then guys who are about to be lapped should be flagged to ride higher up the bank
No
The rule is to stay low and the pursuers have to pass higher on the right.
The GB rider held his line and did nothing wrong.
The 2nd and 3rd Danish riders saw the Gzb rider and rose ready to pass on the GB riderโs right.
The 1st Dane fucked up royally by ramming the GB rider
Then blamed the GB rider, threw his toys out of the pram, and walked back to his pen.
The GB rider, although an alternate, had the presence of mind to pick himself up, get back on the bike, and finish.
GB should advance

Only if you're prepared to be mocked as Great Bradbury for the rest of time...

Really enjoyed the W Long Jump comp
But fuck me, of all the events Iโve watched to date the W Long Jump was the most amateur.
Mihambo won by 3cm on her final jump but was 19cm behind the board
Surely with all the modern technology and practice you should expect the jumpers to be under 5cm from the foul line every jump?
The GB jumper was +7cm on three of her jumps ffs
They need to watch the divers and gymnasts to see what professional precision is

Carrington is mightily impressive in ALL respects
