GBR win. Tough game. I think the two best teams will play for gold.

Hmmm, it's going to be a tough choice choosing whether to support Fiji or Great Britain.

Already Fijis first ever medal, regardless of color, but go for gold boys, beat that Lions 7s team! -

They are like the All Blacks but better!

Their aura must have it's own building in the Olympic village
-
GB for me, chaps, no surprises there.

But if they have to lose arguably the highest profile sevens final in the history of the game, I'd rather it went to Fiji than anyone. The game may have been invented in Scotland, but it was made for Fiji. -

Thrilled of course for Murray and Bond, just fucking legends, but what I really love about the Olympics is the stories like Natalie Rooney and Luuka Jones, not even rated at home to medal, and they cane it at the highest level.

Here's hoping the cyclists add to the haul.

(On a side note, quite surprising how bad some of the other NZ rowing crews have done. 5th and 6th in B finals are not the results you want to read.)

The swimming team have really been the epic failures. Not even a finalist amongst them. I think Corey Main swam a few PB's, which is something, but the senior members of the team were rubbish.
-

Sounds like Lauren Boyle has been sick and she was the only one who had any real prospect of doing much. But given the general standard expected for NZ athletes is capability to make the top 16, there'd be a fair few swimmers who've fallen short.

GB went faster than our sprint cyclists in qualifying, so they're going to need to find more. Margins very slim in that sport.

Our sevens boys have a chance at finishing fifth.
