Our Mixed Multihull crew are sailing soon for a medal. Currently fourth but I think we can get up to silver. Fingers crossed we get on the podium.

GBR jumped the start. Kiwis already into 3rd. Winds very light, Lester said the boats won't foil in this. Not sure who this suits

We will medal if GBR are disqualified

I don't know why the judges didn't tell them they were over. Let them get half way up the first leg and now they give them the hook. GB must not have heard the call off the line. Now we can focus on Argentina

Heptathlon. Naffisatou Thiam from Belgium just cleared 1.92m in the high jump easily. American Anna Hall is worth keeping an eye on too

We are trailing the Argies in the race though. We need to beat them by 3 places to get silver. Early days but that will be a struggle from here.
Sounds too much in these conditions
Don't speak too soon. We are now ahead of the Argies at the next mark.

I'm not sure if the BBC coverage I'm watching is live but I'm seeing a good battle between NZ and Argentina for Silver at the moment, albeit in very light winds.

@canefan that’s sailing though. It’s not up to the chase boats to tell them they are over. I’ve done plenty of racing in my time in Lasers and if the start gun goes twice it’s the sailors responsibility to go back if they think they are over or risk it and carry on. GBR risked it and lost out. They would have known it was close so that will cost them a medal.
