Whether its true or not, Ko looks like she is enjoying it

Was guaranteed a medal at that point, what’s not to enjoy I guess.

Pretty good finish by the top 3. I struggle to get into the Olympic tennis and golf, but NZ have medaled in both sports in these games, so fair play to all concerned.

Mens madison, womens omnium are the NZ cycling events left. Women's 10k and mens marathon for atheletics. Would be cool to get an unexpected medal from one of those events.

So it’s the best of three races and I’m pretty sure the riders alternate on who starts on the high side of the track, given the potential advantage of watching from behind. They can use any part of the track, basically cat and mouse style, until the last 200m when it’s a flat out sprint.

    Oh, you watching the Madison.

The riders are required to switch off during the race by means of an exchange. While one member of the team races his partner slowly circles the track above the blue line. When they meet, the racer passes his momentum to his partner via a push or “hand sling” before moving up to the blue line to recover for his/her next effort. Races may be run over a specified number of laps or over a period time. Often, sprints for points are offered as a means of enlivening the action.
