Yeah, GB defence very good. NZ looked like a team of individuals.

Boomers crush Lithuania this morning to end our shitty run of QF exits.

Argies starting strongly against the USA. I'm no expert of the game but the Yanks look like they don't give a fuck about each other.

The Argies have awesome support - crowd is nutso

That Ryan Lochte robbery story is getting weirder and weirder. Latest seems to be that when they went through Olympic village security, he had his missing wallet.

Ryan Lochte is a dimwitted idiot so I wouldn't be surprised at all if he either exaggerated the truth, or just made the whole thing up as a way of getting attention. He had some ridiculous reality TV show a while back where he came across as an A-hole of the highest order.

I would think that Lochte bagging a Playboy Playmate would give him all the attention he needs. :)

Three big wins so far in the Men's basketball QF's. Aussies looked sharp with some quality defence. Lithuania is one of those teams when they get a little behind or in foul trouble they drop their heads and are susceptible to big losses.

Impressed with the US this morning. Probably their best game defensively. This helped some of the guys pick it up offensively, particularly KD.

So the hockey girls freeze in the big moment again. I hope Richie didn't give the pre-match talk otherwise he will be confined to the hotel for the next game. If not, why the hell not have him do the talk? He can uncork his version of the RWC 2011 talk ;)

Women's long jump on at the moment, and it's pretty bad. Are the conditions suss? I've never seen a top level event with so many mis-jumps, fouls, and stutter steps in it. It's like no one wants to make the top 8

I've had a bit of a nasty feeling all tournament that another fourth is on the cards - which would be bloody gutting for the hockey girls who have been there or thereabouts for the past four years.

Germans beat us in pool play and the score flattered us - we'll need to play a lot better than we did that day and today.

I think the media got rather overconfident after they beat Australia, when the Aussies are in a bit of a lull. They definitely aren't the powerhouse they were in the past.

What happened to Blake? He was nowhere in the 100m, and now hasn't even made the final of the 200m, which was his best even 4 years ago

No one in those semis looked a patch on Bolt. Fastest semi and he cruised the last 50m

Jamaica wins the women's 200 over the rapid dutch woman
