You’re right, but we also need these two to bat long and keep enough wickets in hand so our middle/lower order to go hard in the last 10.

I get the thinking from Latham and Mitchell.
If they can stay in and get us 5 an over for the next 20ish overs, then we go at 10’s for the last 10 overs it’ll get us near to 300.
