I need to do more homework cos I'm sure some of my picks did not play in week 1..... Hope to get the hang of this by the mid point of the season.

Picking players that are likely to stay on the field longer is all part of the selection process. Big points can be lost by picking the wrong guy.

No, the selection process is picking players likely to score the most points.
Obviously true, but the longer they stay on the field the more chance they have to score points also, unless they're Scott Barrett. Remember you get an extra point per player if they stay on the field for longer than 60 mins.
