Best win over the weekend?

@DaGrubster I'm not saying the WT20 Final wasn't a fantastic achievement and a great back story especially for the veterans in the side, but my caveats are.
- The standard was pretty poor this Cup
- We got trounced by Australia and the draw opened up for us
- Most importantly it's a bogus WC. It's played every fucking year
Still never won one, until now

I can't understand all the love for the netball. It was 1 game, against Australia, who we used to beat plenty frequently (60 of 167 according to this website, with a couple of draws https://netballscoop.com/forums/topic/netball-history-australia-v-new-zealand/)
And heading into the CC match our record was 7 wins, 9 losses since 2021. By our own very high standards since the late 1990s, this recent period we have been a little up and down but our record against Oz has still held up.
- Test win in India
- T20 WC win
- Americas Cup
- CC win.

The Constellation Cup is like the AB's v Springboks for netball.
NZ has won 2/13 last series. We were coming off a home series loss to England. Imagine if that was the record in rugby. I reckon a trouncing of the favourites would be getting a lot more love in this poll given that scenario.
Anyways the Silver Ferns backed it up last night.
We now go across the Ta$man and try and clinch the series with matches in Perth and Melbourne. If Oz square it, Game 4 goes to extra time.

the really interesting thing re the netball, im in melbourne...no idea it was happening until i saw the results, even in a relatively quiet time for sport (no afl, rugby or league) it didn;t seem to register

Did not know this.Even biennially it takes the gloss off somewhat. Still, nicer to have won one than not.
