McLeod having a blinder
Another one better than David Havili.

Bit of an unfortunate end to the season, but unfortunately pretty predictable.
Completely outgunned in the forwards - once Ethan was ruled out and Anderson hobbled off, I don't think any of the other Ta$man forwards would even have made the Canterbury bench. Maybe Shalfoon for Cahill?
No ball. No territory. No win!
Tim Sail tried hard as did Fin Christie. Jonny Lee looks like he'll be a good player.

Are James Marshall and Dan Perrin still coaching at Mako$? If so their appointments as Crusaders coaches is truly hilarious.

Having a storm week in the last week of the regular season also didn't help. That shouldn't happen.
The decline of Ta$man after holding the Shield was pretty much a carbon copy of what happened to Wellington last year. I think the storm week needs to be binned.

Certainly won't have helped - but, to be fair that Canterbury pack is pretty formidable and Ta$man had lost pretty much all its best forwards. Even at full strength we would have struggled to hold them - it's a better pack than the Crusaders were fielding for much of the season.
Picking up Bell, Newell and Darry is pretty handy - it's a bit like picking up a really good kitty playing 500. You get three good cards and get to throw out your three worst.
In NPC it's even better - because you get to push three starting players to the bench and shed three of your bench.
