Black Caps tour of India

Wow.
Last week was amazing and this is even better.
Solid performances across the board but holy shit, Mitch Santner, where the FUCK did that come from !?!?!
Man of the match, absolutely incredible. You can dine out on this forever.
It’s pretty special to back it up with another win. Normally, you would expect India to come roaring back but to beat them again, on a wicket that they produced so heavily in their favour is fantastic. What a win!!

Absolutely. Fully expected a bit of a hiding to be honest

The funny thing is the Indians will be in all sorts trying to figure out how they can amend the pitch in their favour in Mumbai.
-
I would also like to thank Satner’s biggest supporter for making this happen.

Not far away from what many of us thought. Good on Mitch to give us the middle finger!

One of many astonishing parts of the series win - usually our unexpected wins are ridiculously tense. Hobart springs to mind. On the scoreboard at least, these were never close.
Even the occasional senses of dread that started to appear in this thread were by historical doom-reflex, than the actual scorecard.
-
That was extraordinary. If you bet on us at the start of each match you'd turn a dollar into $175
To do that in such different ways without Kane was incredible. There's a song somewhere in there
We beat them with pace
We beat them with spin
They doctored the pitches
And yet we still win -

They wish they had Dravid
They wish they had Sachin
They still have the spinners
And yet we still win -
@nzzp is there a tune for this?

The tests within the Test. You get them for 3 or 4 down but yet they still have Virat there. So you zero in on Virat hoping their number 6 or 7 don’t get away in home conditions.
I was a little shocked that some thought 300+ was no enough though….

This result would have been less amazing even four years ago……
But to do it now with…..
Rossco, BJ, Boult, Wagner all gone.
KW injured.
Jamieson seemingly permanently broken.
Henry injured, shit we have to play useless Santner again.
Latham and Southee not as good as a few years back.
Yeah, mind boggling stuff. Even more so after the Sri Lanka series.

Awesome effort lads, top off a day of bloody good results.
Santner, incredible performance.
Indeed.
Blackcaps win test and series.
All Blacks win with largely a B side.
Golden State Warriors smashing the Jazz.
Yankees getting beat with a walk off grand slam
Queensland Labor getting the boot.Great day.

Surprisingly, the herald led it's back page with the all blacks. Against Japan ffs.
This India series win is up there with Australia in the 80s... But doesn't even lead. It is archaic. More money and population interested in cricket these days
Everything is a distant second to Rugby, no surprises there.
In terms of the BCs I’d argue it’s better than the Oz result.
Everyone knew Hadlee was a champion player. 33 wickets in a series is just rewards for a legend.
…..and not taking anything away from our GOAT but that Australia team wasn’t quite vintage, certainly not compared to the 90s-2010s.
In terms of Santners performance such an unlikely guy blitzing the Indian line up at home is an absolutely Everest moment.
