Northland v Otago
-
Shortest penalty advantage I've seen for quite some time. Ironic that the very person penalised is the one with the intercept.
-
Millers passing and kicking is absolutely brilliant.
-
Hasties kicking game is also v good. Has improved a lot this season
-
It’s going to be Wellington all over again.
-
Usual suspects of Miller, Haig, Holland, Hurley (though did some seriously stupid shit as well) bailing them out.

That pass onto a great line by Hurley was superb. By both of them.

needed to sub forwards like Apoua and Caird much earlier.
Bang on, Apoua was taking an age to get up from the ground 3 minutes into the 2nd.half, made metres like Owen Frank's with the ball, even Caird was blowing....
Not sure why we haven't given Salmon more.time as well.
Oh well, knew I'd seen that movie before

We don’t seem to trust our bench but Woods and Salmon were superb. Took us most of the season to find the right combination in midfield as well. Another season done.

This experiment of Whaanga on the wing needs to stop.

I don't rate it at all... having said that, need to go out and get some actual wingers for next season, because every 'actual' winger we tried was atrocious.
At least Whaanga can guarantee decent carrying, decent aerial ability, and (generally) good defence. No doubt his long-term home is in the midfield though.
