No bench, don't need one

Players that should be rested:
Taylor, Lomax, A. Savea, D Mac, J.Barrett, R. Ioane
So the team I'd pick is:
De Groot, Bell, Tosi, S.Barrett, Vaii, Finau, Blackadder, Sititi, Ratima, Plummer, Clarke, ALB, Proctor, Jordan, Love
Aumua, Williams, Ofa T, Darry, Cane, Hotham, B. Barrett, Telea,

@Machpants And what did South Africa do against Australia in the second game? They're World Number 1 because they take risks. That side is capable of beating the Number 9 side in the world handsomely.
And some guys have played a lot of minutes already this year. We need to manage their remaining minutes ahead of huge challenges to come at Twickenham, in Dublin and at the Stade de France.

That’s a very woke way to describe a scrum

Compared to 2-3 years ago they are creating much more opportunities to score tries.
But not when it matters - like in the second half.
Strong leadership would sort a lot of this out. Calm TF down.
We have regressed. Back to where we were on the EOYT a couple of years ago

Yes but they were coming from a dominant win on a settled team. We're coming from a huge pile of shit (c.f.)

Even GOAT took a year or three to warm to the job

@Victor-Meldrew nah man. So chuck in Plummer with Hotham at halfback and Jacobson at 8, Havili at 12? Doesn't sound like a fair chance to me.
Oh, I'm not saying go that far. More like start Proctor to see how he goes with JB, give Hotham and Plummer some game time and maybe LJ at 7 (he was pretty good there in SR)
Just not all at the same time. You wont learn anything about Plummer or Proctor unless they get a run with the starters
-
Suspect we'll see something along the lines of:
1 De Groot
2 Aumua
3 Lomax
4 Barrett
5 Vaa'i
6 Sititi
7 Cane
8 Savea
9 Ratima
10 McKenzie
11 Clarke
12 Lienert-Brown
13 Ioane
14 Jordan
15 PerofetaBench: Taylor/Bell, Williams, Tosi, Darry, Blackadder, Hotham, Plummer, Proctor
Aumua needs a start under his belt to get a little bit of momentum. Cane will get his 100th. If Jordie Barrett is out then can't see them swapping out Ioane too, so it's an ALB /Ioane midfield with Proctor getting a shot off the bench. Can't see the point in using Tele'a or Reece on the right wing so Jordan shifts out there and Perofeta makes his return at fullback (though you have to wonder why he wasn't used on the bench ahead of Plummer, or starting at fullback already, and also didn't get a run for Taranaki - is he still injured and the coaches aren't being forthcoming?). Give Hotham and Plummer minutues off the bench too, and then maybe start them together against Japan.

What happened to Beauden, is he right to go in Wellington?
Illness, and hopefully not
If JB is also out, could we see some time with Plummer at 10, and Proctor in MF?
