I agree with pretty much everything you have said but it seems the referees have been instructed to ref in this way given Zas got a red card and was banned on top of it.

Ah, damn. The AB back 3 debate has just become boring! Savea 11, Smith 15, Naholo 14. Not even a debate.

despite the differing views on the tackle/lift, Ngatai's fate for the next 2-4 weeks is now in the hands of the wonderfully consistent SANZAR judiciary!

Not unless the citing officer decides it should have been a RC.
Yellows don't go to the judiciary.

Well at least when the Chiefs lose this all you blokes can spend the week bitching about the referee.

Overlooking the fact that Dave Rennie has once again been outcoached by Jamie Joseph

FFS if he was "driving" rather than lifting it would have been a bloody good hit. But he was lifting and the rest is history

I'd be surprised if it doesnt got there, given the ARse was pushing for a RC...be nice if Ngatai doesnt have to have that lottery ticket

Would be an even bigger farce if that's the case. There is clear criteria that says RC if player lands on head/ neck which Dixon didn't do.

    Crap.
If you went to tackle someone and they jumped into you and flipped over you would be pissed off for copping the blame.

I said last week the Chiefs are not gonna get near the title with this forward pack. Apart from Retallick they are abysmal especially the loose forwards. Highlanders like the Sharks and Hurricanes before them have stopped them dead, made recycling a struggle while being able to recycle their own ball fast and easily. Really missing Liam Mesam. Sam Cane is probably a automatic All Black selection which is lucky for him.
