If Fulham and Bournemouth are able to complete their easy home victories tomorrow(!), the top 13 would really be separated from the 7 cellar dwellers. And Man U would be in 13th.
lol vs Brighton and vs Spurs .. I wouldn't be surprised if we were both 0-2 out of that, however I have also seen enough to actually support a 2-0 happening in 2024
weird season
You should have more faith in my predictive powers! 4 points between 5th and 13th, a very tight upper middle table.
Didnt see the Fulham game, but on the Cherries performance, not often I come out disappointed with a win, 15-6 shots on goal in the second half alone, should have been 3 more minimum
We're doing well against the top of the table, but not winning when we need to at the bottom of the table. Big couple of weeks coming. If we get the wins we are expected to, then it will be a top half of the table Christmas

Villa finally won one last night.
Now let's hope they don't ruin our weekend by dropping points at home to Southampton.

Saints without a few and were woeful last time out, Villa should no longer be the only side inside the top 13 with a negative points differential after this game to come

Don't say that lol.
I still remember us last season needing a late late equalizer from Nicolo Zaniolo against Sheffield Utd of all teams.

At home we have beaten Citeh, Gunners and Spurs but we lost games we should have won against Leicester and Westham earlier.
Poor Spurs are similar, put on great performances against Citeh as well, but arguably put in the worst performance of the season against us today.
Good luck, but I suspect Oli kills them

Ollie Watkins isn't even our best striker haha, man he's wasteful infront of goal. He scores 1 out of 4 good chances. Wish we'd just play Duran from the start. Ugly win from us this morning in real tough conditions. We did well to see it out even if the opposition are rooted to the bottom of the table. Kamara makes a massive difference defensively for us, especially in transition. FFP rules have meant that we've had to balance the books more than anything else this season, but we just gotta hang tough and hope to make a profit so we can strengthen the squad for next season and make a bigger push for top 4 or better.
Just watched Man U v Forest. I'm suspect about Amorim playing 3 centre halves in England as you're asking for trouble, leaving yourselves exposed in the middle of the park, and so far, I'm still yet to be convinced about it. You'd also think that at the very least, they'd be able to defend set pieces with all those centre halves out there, but first Arsenal, now Forest have exposed them in that area, and even Wood chipped in with a goal from the head too.
-
Duran has been your most consistent this year, sure Ollie comes right though he is a genuine weapon when on
-
That Chris Wood goal was strange, he basically looped the ball back across goal and any of the keeper or 2 defenders could have cleared it but all left it for each other.
Watkins and Duran are very different strikers. I don't think Watkins is a great finisher but he gives you so much with his willingness to run in behind which enables other players to get up in support - I've not seen enough of Duran to know if he can do the same.

Reckon Chelsea are a good chance to challenge Liverpool for the top spot. Playing very well at the moment.
Think the Aussie coach is heading for the sack at Tottenham. They seem too brittle.

Not so sure yet, seem to score more goals than anyone but they had had significant injuries at the back. Dont think he is dead man walking yet, but he needs to start finding wins.
Mickey VDV back this week will help but probably need a soft draw to help settle spurs nerves -

5 points from Spurs, Brighton, Arsenal.
I'll take that!!
Liverpool will be bricking it
Nice not to be talking about relegation zone this year!

Mickey VDV back this week will help but probably need a soft draw to help settle spurs nervesYesterday they went 2-0 up after the Chelsea defender slipped over twice. Then it was pretty much one way traffic especially in the 2nd half. Two idiotic penalties didn’t help. And this was a home game. They look middle table at best

Mickey VDV back this week will help but probably need a soft draw to help settle spurs nervesProblem with Ange is he only has one way of playing. It's bloody entertaining for the neutral, but once out of possession, they look extremely vulnerable as they play so high up the pitch, leaving holes galore in the centre of the park and behind the fullbacks. It looks great when plan A comes off, but when it doesn't, the solution seems to be to keep going with plan A until it does come off.

Maddeningly inflexible

I think it is more of a culture change that everyone has to buy into, look at Celtic etc, even Bournemouth play in a similar way under Iraola. They need more effort from their mids in my mind. Spurs played ok until they had to sub their defenders, but against us Maddison and co were way off the pace
I agree though its a higher risk game plan
-
GON probably most at risk manager right now, last dance vs Ipswich this weekend I think, if he even gets a shot at Ipswich. Wolves in real trouble
-
@bayimports end of the game looked like a manager saying bye to the fans
-
So, Gary O'Neil first one gone, but only by a whisker, Russel Martin joins the sacked managers club the very next day.
Although the round not completely over yet, Fulham take a point off the current favorites which is a big result. Forest continue to surprise. City blow another lead. Spurs continue their topsy turvy form and Chelsea continue their rise.
Interesting weekend for sure
