He has hung up his boots and is in Christchurch coaching. Given our track record bringing guys in who are about to retire or who have hung up their boots, doesn't seem that out of the box.

Why did he get selected and come off the bench in the game after the Rebels if he had an injured shoulder?Since I can not answer in the other thread I will here.
Reihana had a stinger to the shoulder and was unavailable for the Rebels game so they tried Havilli,
Reihana recovered for the next game and they eased him back on the bench. -

Yep exactly the same time

That's not what happened. Reihana started for the Rebels in Round 10 and the Crusaders won.
He was then demoted to the bench the next game against the Reds and the Crusaders lost.
Check the lineup tabs.

You are correct I was thinking about Reihana started wk1 then Reihana was injured and missed 3 rds then re hurt the shoulder and missed the last rds.
Certainly James Marshall made some strange calls along with Penny,Marshall was a big mover in signing OConnor. -

Hearing Wellington halfback Kyle Preston has signed with the Crusaders for next year - can't directly confirm this myself, but it was passed along. In which case, thought they might have gone with Nic Shearer as the third halfback behind Hotham and Drummond.

Oh bugger, that ain't cool. Preston has had a great year for the Lions, thought the Canes would have definitely secured his signature.
