@Nogusta That should allow Lam more midfield time as most of us would like and maybe save Grindlay or open up an extra wing spot.

Yeah, I presume it’s an error. Would be surprised if the Blues released him early.

@george33 highly unlikely have just spoken to his dad after seeing your coms ,don’t know where you got that info from he’s with the Blues again 2025 then again even dads keep secrets
What I can tell you is Stephen Perofeta is off to to the Canes for 2025
James Mullan hooker from Canterbury coming to the Blues in 2025
Driven very much by Jason Ryan
Got couple of other bits but rather have that information cross referenced first 😉

Legendary stuff. Now watch NZH and Stuff report it from "multiple sources"

@Steven-Harris the Perofeta situation has been there for a while, on Evans only rumour as I said , from coach of an Auckland club side., And that's great he is staying at the Blues.

@African-Monkey Cheers took a bit of hiatus after being diagnosed with an illness late last year but slowly working my way back to full noise maybe not too much if you know what I mean ..always a great site for information on our national game , fortunate enough to have some great contacts around the country regarding good oil .
Still hard work being a Taniwha supporter though , tend to make you ill again

@george33 No question there was always going to be a potential move on his Perofeta’s part but it was only signed off at the NZ Rugby offices today

Haha true on the taniwha part (Auckland too for that matter). Sorry to hear that in regards to the illness, take care of yourself. Hope you're well.

@george33 have also heard the Blues are looking at Quinn Tupaea and his brother Mason who was with the Blues this year as injury cover
Reiko Ioane possibly heading off on a sabbatical, if that happens Tupaea likely to come north
I do apologise if this has been mentioned before

@Steven-Harris the Reiko sabbatical was mentioned, but have also been informed most likely won't happen, but things move very quickly these days.

@Yeetyaah Sorry just the messenger , heard he hasn’t been happy about being played on the wing .
There’s some other possible movement from Waikato but can’t say at this time as there’s some negotiations going in the background

Isn't he more a 12? Would Lam move out one?

@nostrildamus I think he can play 13 reasonably well but you are correct if you look at from Blues point of view on the possibility of losing Reiko you would want an experienced midfielder.

I don't think that Tupaea played that much on the wing for the Chiefs this year. Maybe more that Poihipi was favoured at 12 at the back end of the season.

He has played a little at centre for Waikato in the past.

I'll add that he is contracted for 2025.
