Deserve to get knocked out here
Yes, no arguments, just disappointment.

SA got the rub of the green in this game, as NZ did when we played them in the pool game.
That game summed up the current NZ team. They were lucky to beat Ireland, and made too many errors in this game. Time for the veterans to retire and inject more youth, and importantly speed.

France have been keeping their powder dry
Stuffing the Argies

NZ 13/2
LOL. Cama's team has been so inconsistent - I am in no way surprised they were knocked out by a team they had previsoulsy comfortably beaten. Cama is a legend of the game but his coaching and select (esp) have been weird - like end of his era Titch.
Bring on full reset for next season -
Cracking match
Great comeback from the Argies
Then Dupont sees France home
-
Ireland leading Fiji 10-7 at the half
-
Ireland up 15-7
-
Fiji back in a flash
Fiji up 17-15
-
Ireland fucked that up
Was like watching the 2023 RWC
Out at the QF
Nothing if not consistent

If Fiji loses all three medalists from Tokyo would be out in the QF.
Once sports hit the Olympics, major countries pump money into them. Money talks. We would see the same in XV if it was a global sport - whole programmes to develop athletes.
-
IMO, this highlights the absurdity of the scheduling, plenty of athletes are out of the Olympics before they have even started, 'officially'.

So they spend 2 weeks in the village partying?

Really? Great Britain aren't there. USA got smashed by Fiji. Australia parachuted in Marky Mark and Corey Toole
USA and Canada are ahead of Fiji in the circuit at the moment.
I watch from afar, but it seemed to me a bunch of countries suddenly invested in tehir development programmes as soon as it made full olympic status
