    @Duluth said in Win percentage in the 2020's:

    Team Win %
    Blues 78.2%
    Crusaders 72%
    Chiefs 64.1%
    Hurricanes 61.6%
    Highlanders 37.5%

    Win percentage in the 5 seasons from 2020-2024

    The Blues passed the Crusaders a while ago but I figured I'd wait until after the final before mentioning it

    I'm sure some of you will ask what the Crusaders would be if you ignore their decline this year. From 2020-2023 it was 82%

    Not exactly what I needed to see on my Sunday. Cheers. 😂 (nah just kidding, appreciate the work).

    @Duluth Robertson's teams were always brilliant at playing at their best in the biggest games.

    Sort of proves that, in the past, the Blues were NZ's biggest chokers.
    Well, no longer.

    @Frank

    Choke is an overused term IMO

    For instance, I don't think the Chiefs choked their pack just wasn't good enough

    In the period we're talking about I guess you could make the argument that the Blues were the best team in two seasons? Won one, lost won, also picked up a half title along the way

    I posted this thread because I think some of the noise after the doesn't given enough credit to the recent seasons. They have consistently been top 2-3 for a while

    I'm sure most people would be surprised the Blues win %age was that high. Even more would be surprised it's passed the Crusaders over that period

    only after a 4/14 kinda season though, that'll wreck your averages

    Yes, but completely fair to include. Might be their new normal.

    @nzzp

    As mentioned above it was 82% before this season. So not that far off

    Take away Gatlands Chiefs year and their numbers would be better too. Not having a turd of a season helps win %ages's

    Better win percentage against Aussies outside those two years than Kiwi sides within two years 😬

    lol fuck how masturbatory is this thread. This is Hurricanes fan level shit. Except, you know, with a trophy.

    In a short time frame, with half teh seasons being comprimised, and playing in a competition where in any given season half the teams couldn't beat their way out of a wet paper bag, this isn't the wow moment you guys think it is.

    For all this chest beating, i would still be happier with the timeframe as a Crusaders supporter.

    dumb? really?

    The only reason you even started this thread is because you won. Would you have posted that stat if the Chiefs had won? no. which indicates trophies matter.
