England are just employing the age old All Black tactic of keeping their powder dry until the finals

At this rate they'll be spooffing talcum powder

Great last line

Switzerland 🇨🇭 2 vs Italy 🇮🇹 0
Italy were utterly dreadful. But we were pretty damn good.

A good old fashioned drubbing

England down 1-0 at halftime
Overpaid, underworked
Like British MPs -
Foden offside
Still 1-0 to Slovakia
-
“It’s a funny old game Saint”
Down and almost out without raising a finger then super Bellingham goal and Kane shows up in extra time and it’s England 2-1 up and likely to progress
Slovakia will be kicking themselves
Opportunity lost -

Can’t think of any team in any sport ever which plays so much less than the sum of its parts
England are the anti-Barbarians
Players play & perform for some of the best club sides in the world
Spend plenty of time together as a team but look like they barely know each other
Lack of basic skills and vision doesn’t allow them to freestyle when they’re up against it
-
@MiketheSnow and they left arguably their two most creative players at home
-
I rate Switzerland a chance. If they like they did vs Germany and Italy they’ll be a good chance.

England have showed exactly zero sign of playing to their potential, so I rate Switzerland favourites

Spain Georgia is a fantastic match so far.
-
Maro Itoje is having a fantastic match for Spain on the left wing.

Congratulations England
You jammy bastardsGreat tournament for Georgia

Wow, if you want to watch a team just pass between their back three all day then watch England. Devoid of any ideas of how to break down the formation in front of them, but every punter and commentator seemingly could see it. How could a team of champion players be so bad as a team?
Part of me feels they can only improve and with those players you would think they would have to, but they are so far off right now. Its like watching an old episode of Fawlty Towers. The irony is though, they are still there and Basil is saving his moves for the Germans. (note I do know the swiss are up next)
