Stead has said there will be changes. I'm thinking that Allen and Bracewell/Chapman are the most at risk.

Beat the WI at home to progress.
    Hmm. Checks odds at TAB

    NZ $2.25 WI $1.64

Are we that much of a chance? I am not convinced

You always get unrealistic odds for the 'home' team of any bookie.

I'm blocked from gambling sites at work but I bet 😉 you'd get better odds from an offshore agency.

Beast is Mike Bracewell. Underdone and this is not the match we need to be using to nurture players into form

Just heard a snippet on the radio that Neesham and Sodhi are due to play.

    No mention of Ravindra.

Well we surely can't play any worse today, can we?! That last performance had to be our worst ever in T20s.

    Batting definitely.

Some of the bowlers did ok though

    NZ choose to field

New Zealand XI: Finn Allen, Devon Conway (wk), Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, James Neesham, Mitchell Santner, Rachin Ravindra, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson, Trent Boult

West Indies XI: Brandon King, Johnson Charles, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Roston Chase, Rovman Powell (c), Sherfane Rutherford, Andre Russell, Romario Shepherd, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Gudakesh Motie

So that would suggest Chapman and Bracewell out?

Who is our reserve keeper? I presume Phillips?

If Seifert was there, I'd be tempted to drop Devon.

We're ridiculously undercooked - most of the batsmen hadn't played for at least a couple of months - several haven't played since February.

I don't know what they were thinking not playing a couple of warm-ups.

NZC been bunged some cash for us to go home early?

Should've had warm up games. But even without them, several Black Caps were inexcusably below professional standards against Afghanistan.

Devon needs to break out of his poor form with the bat in a hurry, as he's not a great keeper otherwise.

Cownqay retains on name. Form has been in the toilet. Seifert should have been there for his keep alone, with the cherry on top being he was in better form with the bat than Conway

So it's Neesham and Ravindra in for Chapman and Bracewell - I like Ravindra instead of Ish.

Windies beat South Africa in three consecutive games prior to this tournament, which doesn't bode that well for us.

I’m sure that’s not our batting line up. Ravindra will come in at four I’d imagine. Why is Southee in for Henry ? Good grief. I hope Allen lasts longer than a single ball this time.

Russell always a dangerous player in this form of the game for the Windies

    Bloody hell. Hadn't noticed that!

I'd open with Ravindra and push Devon down to about 6.
