T20 Cricket World Cup 2024

@NTA You guys must have been in the semis and out of the semis about 26 times in that game - changing every ball!
Afganistan to play South Africa in the semis.
Go the Afghans - don't want those Jaapies having any more Cups!
(At present I believe we're equal with them if you add cricket and rugby together!).

The choke is on, or an asterisk win…

Ouch

@No-Quarter Did he cry and bemoan how unfair it is that everyone picks on him?
-
So sad

Big question for Afghanistan was always going to be whether they'd be able to post a big enough score to give their bowlers something to defend.
Looks like they couldn't.
All out for 56.
Can we give SA an asterisk for "they only had to beat Afghanistan"?

To be fair that total would have challenged us

@OomPB Indians cruise past England and into the final.
On the plus side - Kohli has had a terrible tournament so far. He's averaging slightly less than 11.
On the downside - he's due!
Someone still has to stop Rohit Sharma at the top.
Also doesn’t help SA that India have had something like five different player of the match awards, so someone different has stood up each timeCould hope for another nightmare pitch as an equaliser?
-
@bayimports Yeah - pretty tough job for SA to win this one. The Indians have pretty much dismantled all comers to date.
I guess the Jaapies have done what they did at RWC - repeatedly snuck home by a point.
