Highlanders v Rebels

@SouthernMann out of his depth. Just another player out there. NPC level.
-
@SouthernMann seems like one of the few players who isn’t actually stupid
-
I just don’t understand what the highlanders game plan is? There’s no structure. There’s no leadership or level heads out on the pitch. The more experienced players are pathetic when the pressure is on
-
@KiwiInLondon agreed. It’s a mess. It all looks panicked and messy. No pattern or structure, just throwing it away and then either kicking it aimlessly or bombing it. It’s genuinely concerning to be half way through the competition and putting out a performance like this against arguably a weaker team. Especially coming off a bye.
Huge second half needed here so I can happily eat my words.

Just a few too many players who are borderline at this level. Plus not enough who are elite. Our scrum is being smoked at the moment and while we also have de Groot to come, we also have Wingham who got swallowed up two weeks ago. We need some go forward. I think Stoddart can add some heft up front
-
@SouthernMann Stoddart add some heft? That might be slightly ambitious

In the loose he would have at least 10kg and probably 10cm on Broughton.
-
Too many silly mistakes by the Highlanders - handing initiative to the Rebels
-
@SouthernMann consider me corrected. Didn’t realise how small Broughton was
-
@Landers92 dermondy needs to go
-
Some smart work by Fakatava there.
-
Harmon's been pretty good too.
-
Fakatava is putting his game together nicely. Still pretty rough around the edges. Showing good improvement. It is clear the players around Faleafaga don't quite know what his plan is with the ball yet. Often he has been having to take the tackle, when players should have been running off him.
