Jacobson is to be rested, and I am assuming that Lord is out. Finau will be back though. The big question is whether DMac is fit to play. I wouldn't be surprised if Ioane starts.

McMillan has tried to rotate players with the bye in Rd 9. If he was ever going to give either of the young props a SR debut, or Malimali some game time, this is the match.

Mafileo is very handy with savage behind him. Not one to start a tyro LH.

Both Ahio and Kaivelata have been used at TH. I expect that Norris is in the 23 this week, maybe in place of Proffit.

It's possible, assuming he got through the Dev game OK. Poihipi is the likely captain so Wrampling would be on the bench at best.

I don't understand why Parker is playing 7 and Sititi 8. Ahio to debut.

Moana sitting out a lot of their pack which will mean a long day at the office for the 2nd stringers.

    Chiefs by 50.

Parker has played quite a bit at 7 under McMillan hasn't he? also it's hard to think of a loose forward trio named in Super Rugby heavier than this one in recent times.. Finau 116kg, Parker 117kg, Sititi 113kg.

Yep, I think we might see a scoreline similar to the Hurricanes match last year when they cracked 70 points, as Chiefs haven't really lost much in the players they've rested because of their outstanding depth, Moana on the other hand will be worse off from resting guys but hey it's understandable they do it now against a side where a win's unlikely.

Yes, but Parker has never played there for Waikato so it's a McMillan thing. Out of the three starting loose forwards in this game Sititi is clearly the best suited to play at 7. He plays there often for NH. Parker is also the tallest of the three, which makes this decision all the more puzzling.
