Another good involvement from Akira
-
@taniwharugby true, he did look poorly positioned for it. But I'd expect he'd be the designated kicker on that side of the park.
The rest of his game has been an improvement on last week. Caveat of the Force...
-
Rieko has thrown some lovely passes today
-
Jeez that was easy.
-
Just too easy, Paps, then Akira just blowing through in contact, leaving their line totally fractured
-
Dalton and Akira prominent in the carrying again. They’ve beaten 8 defenders each tonight
-
Paul Cully posted on twitter recently that'd he like to see Evans at the Highlanders. Would be a great signing for them, but he'll probably get a lot of game time next year.
-
4-6 weeks for Perofeta
-
News on Perofeta: bruised shoulder, so four to six weeks out.
Maybe back for the Reds?
-
Defence has been super organised
-
Vikena with some sloppiness discipline wise. needs to cut that out
-
Great maul defence. That's the game, nil tries, nice work

I spotted him doing that a few times off the ball, not subtle
-
Where’s the penalty for that language?

Good victory to the Blues.
Defence solid and well structured - Force didn't test it very severely, and they ran out of ideas in about the 7th min.Attack had some very nice interplay particularly amount the loosies.
-
Glad we didn't concede a try.
We've conceded 27 points in the last 4 games.
-
Coventry is a good forwards coach but it's been impressive watching Cotter shape this Blues pack.
-
@KiwiMurph Huge improvement from Renata. Prior to this season I'd have thought he'd be struggling to get a contract.
-
@Tim He's been around for ages and only just been given a regular look in this year.
Persistence pays off.
-
Schmidt and Cron are there to fix shit from the top down...
-
Christie will still start but at least we have a clear backup now. Funaki has shown he can be trusted.
One criticism I have of Cotter is he hasn’t trusted the sub halfback in tight games. It’ll help Christie too if he gets subbed the same time most halfbacks do

Probably the big thing for him to work on is box kick exits. If he can develop a good kicking game then he will be a valuable player.

Pretty clinical performance from the Blues.
Completely dominated the contact areas.
Only concern is they spent a long time down their own end in the 2nd 40, they had opportunities to get out but they just couldn’t.
Good sides will make them pay for that. -

@Gunner Exits are still a work-on, especially without Sullivan there.
Perofeta's punting has really developed too
-
Sullivan was said to be out for six to eight weeks, so maybe back for Rebels or Hurricanes.
-
@Gunner In fairness, thats what happens when the subs get rolled out and most teams spend their fair share of time on d when the result is beyond doubt.
I'm very impressed that we didn't concede a try when we could easily have because of the game situation.

Not disputing it was a great defensive effort, but if we’re being picky… good sides will score a lot more than 3 points if they’re given as much field position as the Force were given tonight.
-
Am way behind (3 mins into 2nd half), as usual, but am liking Funaki, and injecting him into the potential All Black debate.
-
Cotter said Darry should be back for the Brumbies and Zarn maybe 2 weeks after that. -
