@NTA i assume there is no footage? we've been very lucky and a young data scientist has volunteered his time this so films all our matches that rugby vic dont stream and does individual player stats
also helps with incidents. we're not club the cites players, very much a leave it on the pitch vibe. our game form sat though, we have found out they are citing one of our guys, he was carded for retaliation (opposition was basically strangling him on the ground so he threw a punch)....they think it should be more apparently...so now in our reply we'll be sending about 10 mins of footage of every dirty cheap shot (including a full tip tackle right on the head the ref completely missed) they committed including the strangling

@Kiwiwomble there should be BUT the camera stream seems to be missing for that period.
Thing is I don't know if I connected or whether anything is visible from that angle, so I could be in just as much trouble

full respect for still committing to the ball despite the almost crippling fear ....he says safely from the sideline

@Kiwiwomble not a good look if a Board Member gets booked

i imagine you'll get a glowing endorsement form the board though!
we have a card early in the year get reduced from 6-3 weeks at least partially because i got on to explain all the stuff said player does around the club other than playing....didn't know that was a thing but i jumped on it when they asked

I not sure if this discussion should be on this thread, but what the hell is this schmozzle happening with Easts in Shute Shield. Exceeded the allowable points of players in a couple of games, and being treated as 'whoops we made a mistake' sorry about that, and no penalty?
From reading from afar looks to be pretty iffy, almost like a favoured club scenario. -

I forgot to post this, a few weeks ago we arrived at training to find this 😹
Must've been some effort to move the posts...
-
@Machpants it was both ends too, so weird....want to believe it they thought that was right....but no sports have posts just behind the line do they?

@mariner4life its still a line going through it, didn;t say THE goal line, hell...the dead ball line would have made more sense to me as far as a full on mistake
-
I'm surprised WR hasn't adopted the solution of permitting goal posts to be moved. Only last week while warming up with some touch footy, one of our players munted himself colliding with a post. Then new grounds and improvements could slowly get them out of the way. As it is you can't score against the base of them anymore and there'd be the benefit of not having as many penalties attempted from over halfway.

@Dan54 allowable points of players? like too many players on the bench or something
"and now we turn to our local NSW club football correspondent @NTA....."
This is purely a Premier Rugby thing here in Sydney as far as I can tell.
Players are given a points value depending on things like whether they're a test or pro player etc. You get discounts if you're a local junior and such.
The idea is like a salary cap - even playing field. Sample sheet:

oh...makes some sense, in the dunedin club final (green island v mighty Dunedin) i saw green island had three highlanders on their bench and another 1-2 starting

@NTA It's also in Hospital Cup in Qld to I think. Mate from there was the one who explained it to me. Seems reasonable system and not sure how Easts can claim they made mistakes etc.
Just a thing of mine with some clubs seem to be able to bend/break rules and get away with it.
Something my club in Brisabne had to fight all the time not being a prem club, but not a Subbies, we actually played in Senior first down (to prevent us becoming a prem club) because of some dodgy rules up theer a few years back and were always copping shit like this. -
@Dan54 SRU aka the Shute Shield Clubs are a law unto themselves. And within that there is a clique - a handful of those clubs like Easts who tell the others to suck their dick, and the silly fluffybunnies bring their own lip balm. I don't get it.

....Nemani Nadolo is on the bench for our opposition tomorrow, all reports are he's put on a few pounds since his prime....but not sure id want to be tackling him
