Full time:
Hastings Boys' HS 53 - 17 Scots College
Napier Boys' HS 52 - 7 Wellington College
AWESOMENESS!
Both our top schools are looking good, but let's not forget that these Wellington schools are utter sh*t. They're going backwards. From the 8 games played, they've won one! Yes, today, Gisborne Boys' lost to St Pat's Silverstream (11 - 39), but Palmy Boys trashed St Pat's Town (47 - 5).
We'll see how good our schools really are in the Super 8. Hopefully we'll have good year. It looks promising.

@Magpie_in_aus Clearly money is no problem at Lindisfarne if they can afford to have their game televised live on Sky!

Napier BHS v Scots College - 10.00am @ Napier BHS - Livestream: https://sideline.live/play/17026 -
Some of my scribbles from the first half; I'll watch the 2nd half tonight.
0 - 3 pen Scots
5 - 3 try to hooker Tyrone Chrystal from a line-out maul
7 - 3 con Luke ThomasThus far, NBHS parked in Scots' half, often in 22
Napier Boys' totally dominating, thus far. Their setpiece is so much better than Scots'.Very sloppy defence from Scots', and Napier's right winger CJ Mienie scores almost untouched. Try not converted: 12 - 3
After a scrum on Scots' 5m, it's Napier's LH prop Ta$man Soanai-Oeti who goes over (pick 'n go): 17 - 3
19 - 3 con Luke ThomasFrom 30th minute, Scots gradually getting more in Napier's half, but thus far butchering every little opportunity; now a line-out throw not straight (not for the first time).
Napier's right winger is seriously good under the high ball.
Half time: Napier Boys 19 - 3 Scots College

Today's game:

Again no team line-up posted for Hastings Boys.

Ten minutes played, and Hastings Boys is struggling to get out of its own 22, let alone its own half. Lindisfarne's defence has been good. Hastings' halfback (I think it was him or the 10) threw an intercepted pass, but Lindisfarne didn't get through Hastings' defence either. Then a senseless kicking contest, with finally Hastings kicking for touch after about 6-7 kicks, followed by a very good attack from Lindisfarne that almost lead to a try.
Now a Lindisfarne scrum inside Hastings' half ...
-
... butchered.
Lindisfarne kicks the ball away, and Hastings starts a new attack from their own half and ...
try time! I think it was Hastings' 5.
It's Hastings' left winger who does the goal kicking. The ass ref was outside my screen, but apparently the kick was good.
Hastings Boys' lead 7 - 0 after 17 minutes.
-
Sona Taumalolo is the waterboy, giving his advice just two metres away from the scrum. It doesn't help, Lindisfarne still has the ball and are hot on attack, until an intercept from one of the tall Hastings' players jumping, and then taken in the air by a Lindisfarne player. Penalty Hastings, kick for touch, Line-out near the middle of the field. ...
-
I want to know who Hastings no. 5 is. He's seriously good, tall and strong. Just stormed through Lindisfarne's defence to score what I think is his second try (that is, if he was also the first try scorer, will check that later).
The try is converted and Hastings Boys' lead 14 - 0.
-
Hastings' halfback is their weakest link. He's slow. He just waited so long, that Lindisfarne almost stole the ball.
Lindisfarne line-out, again too close to Hastings' try line, but Hastings steals the ball.
Penalty Hastings, it's the right winger now who kicks for touch. Good result. Line-out well into Lindisfarne's half.
