Black Caps v South Africa
-
@bayimports Southee doesn't follow my good advice, but Phillips knocks over de Swardt cheaply, anyway.
One more and we've opened up an end.
-
hmmm.....perhaps if I keep saying we will be chasing 300+ , we are bowling pies
-
tail will still push lead over 300 ..we wont take anymore wickets today
-
@bayimports And my job is to keep contradicting you...

300+ still possible, no chance of anymore wickets in this over
...too much?
-
I missed by one ball..
-
no chance in dismissing all by end of play, we will still chase 300+
-
One left.
Hats off, the lads have really pulled this back by taking the last 5 wickets for 30 odd.
Going to be a niggly 30-60 minutes (or how ever long is left) to bat.
We’ll be at least one down at stumps, with walking wicket Conway opening - hopefully no more than that.
-
@bayimports Good work.
You should apply to Cricinfo to have several test wickets credited to your account for very few runs!

267 feels like a pretty evenly balanced chase. We need a big improvement on our first innings, but it's not so much that the South Africans will feel comfortable going all out attacking and not worrying about runs. Given the way this test has gone they're the favourites, but not overwhelmingly and it's probably 'only' going to need one good session to get us back in front.
-
So basically two scores below 250 by South Africa B - glued together by De Swardt and Von Berg in the first innings and Bedingham in the second.
A shithouse first innings by us, requires that we do significantly better in the second innings - but, this shouldn't be beyond us!!!
