It’s actually bordering on unbelievable the complete lack of mental fortitude the Black Caps have when it comes to playing Australia…
Matt Henry and Glenn Phillips can hold their heads up.
But yeah, your point still stands.

@Donsteppa Had to review as the last specialist batsman, I think. If an opener was as plumb as that it would be a dumb review, but in this situation no point saving three reviews in case Southee and O'Rourke need them.
Yeah that COULD NOT have been more out.
Lyon is so dangerous. Such a good counter to the other three pacers.

5 more to avoid the follow oh wait
Southee to get a maiden test ton and win it from here
He'll only be able to score about 20 once Henry and Mitchell do the heavy lifting.

@MN5 Also got us through to 165, so we've won the second innings!
Unfortunately, with five of the top seven failing in each innings, we've got way too much to do.
Cam Green's 208 runs currently the difference, while Little Kane has contributed 9.

They haven't done themselves justice.
For Pete's sake I wish they would believe in themselves.
WOR, GP, Henry did fight, proud of them -

I was only off by 93 runs

Radio saying they need to bring back Wags which is awkward given he’s retired
Wishful thinking, I think.
Wags didn't worry SA B too much.
Aside from failing to break the Green/Hazelwood partnership, the bowling attack went alright in this test.
It's really the bulk of the batsmen who have failed - on a pitch that was tricky, but far from unplayable - as shown by Phillips, Henry, Ravindra and Mitch Jr.

Yeah those guys get pass marks. Top three certainly don’t and Will Young gets extra deductions for running out KW and not making up for it with a huge score.
Is Conway due back by the chch test ?
