@KiwiMurph Hit his arm. They took a long time looking at that and nothing clearly suggested glove.

It clearly showed it hit him on the wrist conected to the glove. Out.

It's part of the glove though, right?

It is. You might not like the rule but it's out.

@KiwiMurph Bottom line, it was given out.

But 1. no clear evidence that it was the band. 2. The third umpire took about five minutes to make that decision.

If there is that much doubt, the benefit of the doubt should be given to the batsman and the onfield umpire.

But hey, the video official is king these days

The third umpire took about 5 minutes because it essentially decided the test. We'll have to agree to disagree. To me there was ample evidence to be given out.

Another wickets. Cummins with five wickets in the innings and ten in the match. A superb performance.

Pakistan 8 down. Still 80 runs short and not much batting left.

9 down now. Pakistan have fallen apart since the controversial decision.

Pakistan fall apart the minute they are six down. A bit like India, six out is all out. They'd both probably like a Tim Southee in their tail end batting...

2023 has been a superb year for Australian cricket. Another trophy for them.

A shame that we were denied an exciting finish there but I think the advantage was always with Australia. Clearly the better side.

Australia beating Pakistan at home is hardly a massive surprise to be fair

Test cricket would be far better off with more contests like that.

The best side in the world challenged on home soil by a team that isn't one of the Big 3 on a pitch that offers plenty for both batsmen and bowlers where neither side got away from the other.

……and it’s Test cricket. The ultimate form of the game. Not some shits and giggles vs Bangladesh ( but I will concede they have improved out of sight and their fans seem a fun bunch )

    This is brilliant.

Wasim was always one of my favourite players, cos I bowled and batted left handed too ( probably not quite as well as him )

@NTA I’m fairly sure that is Brad Haddin in the clip but I’m trying to let all hate go in 2024.
