@yeahyeah Not that I know of, just because of being in Dunedin and seeing it all and talking to people is how I know about that. Sucks for Otago, have all these great players playing club here then we find out they just go down and play for Southland. Josh Augustine a big one this season who is a tidy winger which we may need this year or next
I have no issue with it. Apart from Augustine, only the out and out Southland lads would be a shot at making Otago. I'd see a time in the future when the two premier club comps could be combined. Players nominate at the start of the year who they'd like to play for.

@Bovidae Otago Vs Canterbury on Friday afternoon also
I heard you are going to climb on the roof at Foster Park and livestream it for us. On ya.

@SouthernMann haha if the weather plays ball I’ll go along. Might even get the coaching hat on and note pad out solely for the ferners.

Wellington are also playing Manawatu on Friday in their first proper pre-season game.

Mako running out a pretty decent set of backs. Interestingly, no sign of Finlay Christie.
Pretty disappointing that this game (against Southland) is being played in Christchurch. I reckon they could have filled Trafalgar Park.

Logistically the best option for Southland though. Getting back to Invercargill from Nelson is a bit of a pain. While in Chch both teams have to travel and the costs are shared.
