My maths puts us 48 behind? 4 wickets left
Surely our tail wags a touch more than theirs
You'da thunk ... but maybe not.

Southee still there.
Captains knock coming up.
This is a very disappointing BC scorecard though.
I don’t follow cricket as closely as I used to, but since when did Timmy take over the captain role from Kane? Is this permanent?

Thats a 100 in 4 consecutive tests for Williamson, first NZ'er to do so.
4 & 132
1 & 121*
215

Was it the last years series at home ? Can’t remember exactly.
Timmys captaincy is almost irrelevant cos KW has gone up another level with his batting since the burden has been lifted.
He went past a couple of handy players in Kevin Pietersen and Geoffrey Boycott on the list of all time run scorers ( just three runs shy of David Gower ) and drew level with Virat Kohli and that Bradman fella on test tons with 29. ( although being KW you think, shit, only 104 ? Couldn’t push for a double ? )
Early days but as @Virgil mentions in the post above that’s a ton in FOUR consecutive tests. Funny how some guys become captain by default just because they’re the best player in a team. Doesn’t always work.

Bangladesh slightly infront here. If Williamson wasn't dropped on 63, it would have been an uphill task coming back.
Turning point for me was Mitchell running past one and getting done by Taijul Islam through the air and off the pitch. Islam is very good imo.

I'd say significnatly in front.
For us to win, we either need out last pair to put on a heap of runs, OR some runs to get close.
Then roll them for less than 200 ish
Then score 200 odd on a turning trackI think Bangles are heavy favourites
Edit: interestingly the odds on Tribe are evens - $1.90 each, and $18 for the draw!

@nzzp Yeah - this is a difficult pitch already.
While we've almost certainly got a better batting line-up than them, I fear their spinners are better than ours - and will likely get to bowl in even more helpful conditions.
We might well need to roll them for substantially less than 200.

49 partnership, very handy indeed, will get tougher to bat on as the day goes on
