NRL 2024

@mariner4life said in NRL 2024:
oh good, we are so fucked
We're playing the Roosters, who are suddenly up and about. Our form is absolute dogshit, and we couldn't score in a brothel with hundred dollar notes tied to our cocks
And so the troops to rescue us:
Fucking Jazz Tevaga, captain dick fingers, die with the ball himself. And that is it. TMM keeps his spot, somehow. He must be well rested, given he did approximately fuck all on the weekend. Our glacially slow attack is all there (though Capewell not being there probably increases the overall speed to "walk")
Doooooomed
I hate it when I cant disagree with any point lol, apparently we have ot wait until round 14 before any decent cavalry in Nuikore come back.
Capewell looking like a suspect buy at this stage (and I don't think anyone on this board thought he was going to be a success)..imagine if they had funds for a gun second rower now..some real stars on the market -
Fifita confirmed he won't be at the Titans .. so a two horse race between Roosters and Panthers
Roosters likely ahead since his partner Shaylee Bent is joining their NRLW side from 2025
-
well, i for one am glad to see that a couple of the real battlers of the comp have a chance to sign the best left backrower in the comp.
-
@mariner4life true, but Im sure if he wanted a battler club he would stay at the Titans. However in saying that what I also find interesting is that Souths not mentioned, if they seriously did not try and make a pitch..wow
Unless like Parra they are trying to pitch for Angus Crichton and I guess if Fafita does sign with the Roosters then probably unlikely to retain him
-
Souths need Crichton more than they need Fifita. Fifita is the sauce, Souths need the steak.
-
Souths need front rowers/hard hitting 2nd rowers more than ball playing 2nd rowers which they have plenty of currently.
-
they do but Fafita is bigger than most FRF which is why he could have been an asset in my mind
-
Roosters win
-
because of course they fucking do

Unfortunately normal service resumes for the Warriors.
Missed tackles, dropped passes, set re starts, Roosters rampant. This is going to be a blood bath.
In the space of 5 weeks the Warriors have gone from respected premiership contenders to the laughing stock of the NRL

Can’t believe Roosters were awarded that last try. It’s come forward of Tedesco.
Oh that’s right, it’s the Roosters.
Now that I’m not reacting in the heat of the battle I’ll comment.
Warriors just can’t play for 80 minutes. Normally you’d blame poor fitness, but it was the opening 15 today they didn’t turn up for.
After that we fought hard, with our backs against the wall… we already had a few late changes through injury, then lost Johnson mid game, so did well to stay keep fighting after being down 22-0 in the blink of an eye.
Not sure how they’re going to get out of this slump, I sure hope Webster has some ideas.
-
I just can’t take the NRL seriously when a player has clearly taken a head knock and they don’t do anything about it. Joseph Manu clearly looked dazed there and didn’t come off for a head assessment. Bloody pathetic in this day in age but wouldn’t expect anything less from this sport.
-
we're shit. and now we are injured and shit. Webster needs to wake up and recognise NRL football in 2024 involves a lot more risk, more and more tries are starting from further out. But we are still risk free until it's too late.
Things aren't right at Penrith but they keep winning.
Brisbane are the perfect emobdyment of what i talk about above. They have strike players and aren't afraid to have a crack. Mam is a superstar. The Eels are still trying, but they are no good.
Ignore most of Saturday it was dogshit, but the Storm losing at home to that Sharks team was hilarious.
The Titans are clearly playing for Des, they made so many last ditch tackles yesterday (just like against us) but the Cowboys had them beat until Val Holmes pulled off the blown try of the year.Injuries are smashing the comp at the moment, not sure there is a team with all their best players on deck.
There are some very ordinary sides getting around at the moment.
