Trent Barrett, who has coached (and been sacked by) Manly, the Bulldogs and the Eels
for a combined record of 38-83
lol

Not a Broncos fan by any stretch of the imagination (despite them being my team until the Warriors came in to being)
but
i hope for their sake this doesn't Bradbury T-Baz in to the coaching seat.
just choked on my coffee, surely T Baz couldn't fluke that one
-
well, he's a signed assistant coach with "head coaching experience"
i mean, i like to think not, but...
-
wow, still could be an Arthur or a Maguire I suppose. Top job will be interesting though, Broncos would be a sought after role
-
Not many options out there in fairness, unless you take a punt on a rookie.

I reckon the average punter could achieve Trent's numbers.

i was going to make a joke about Benji and the Tigers until i realised that TBaz won 40% of his games at Manly with DCE, prime Turbos, young AFB and Walker, prime Marty Taupau.
Yeah, they could have coached themselves to 10 wins

gee the Broncos really resent the Lions being in the GF tomorrow
First they sack their coach, and now Mam and Walsh are in trouble in Bali
-
-
interesting hearing from Broncos insiders, Madge is preferred target with Ennis and Teo as assistants. Not a group I would have necessarily associated together

Teo did play under Maguire when Souths went all the way in 2014, and Ennis is always around teams in some capacity.

That makes sense, forgot about the Souths link

Melbourne's recruitment strategy pays off bigly as Grant, Munster, Hughes and Papi all have massive games as they score 48 points in a preliminary final to book a date in the GF.
Score doesn't tell the story of the Roosters giving them and almighty fright to be within 6 early in the 2nd half.
Pretty fucking fun game of footy. Melbourne in this form will be hard for even Penrith to handle.
NAS will be hoping for GF leniency or he's watching the game with the rest of us

Don't Origin rules apply to GF?
-
I think he plays, think if it wasn’t NAS it doesn’t even get 10 in the bin, so many of those shoulder contacts slipping up not even given this year

I think it's 50/50, it's a chance for the Aussies to rub him out for the Pacific Cup.

Looks like you’re right, they gave him 4 weeks

Penrith make tough work of Cronulla but the chin pulls out the big plays to get them there.
We get the grand final we all predicted but picking a winner here will be tough.

It makes you wonder if the Broncos management had planned to bring in Madge before sacking Walters. Maguire released from NSWRL role and said to be announced within days as head coach by Broncos
